IT is VERY frustating when clients book and then don't show up or even phone to cancel! I am very reliable and when this scenario occurs, invariably there is another client who could have taken that appointment if only the noshow had called!
THANKS. I just needed to vent!

OOPS........ Sorry.......
I have to agree. I don't know what it's like on the SP's end of things, but with my job, you get the odd client who's flight is delayed or they are caught in traffic, and the bastards can't find the time to tell you they are running late or have to rebook.
Makes ya wanna hire a heavy to track them down and beat them like a rented mule. Then have your heavy drag them by the nose hairs to the meeting.

Yeah... c'mon guys... commit yourself in a business about sex with... um... no commitments.

LOL

I would ALWAYS call if for some reason, plans fell through. Sometimes you can't help unfortunate events. I would call. Conducting business myself, I know that a no show can be costly. Especially when you leave a girl waiting and turning calls down because you were supposed to meet.
At least be a man and call her. It's not like she is going to flip out on you and throw your stuff out on the lawn. You have no stuff at her place for her to throw. But a courtesy call probably wouldn't hurt to let her know you can't make it. At least that way she can plan the rest of her night.
Amazing how it works. The same guy who would stand the girl up, is the same guy who would post a shitty review on her if she did the same thing back to him. Fortunately, any SP I have set up with has had enough respect to call me if there was a problem and they couldn't make it. Maybe I'm just old school when it comes to mutual respect.

I remember GF, and I really appreciated it. I would be happy to see you anytime you're back in PG (or when I'm down in Van next time).

People who just don't show up and don't bother to call, different story. Wouldn't be in a hurry to give a no-show a second chance. But things come up - not a problem if you let me (us) know. A little courtesy goes a long way.

Just common Courtesy...

Why isn't common courtesy the least bit common?

I find it very reprehensible that anyone would ask to meet someone and then not even let them know when they can't make it.

If you've ever called an SP and not shown to the appointment (without calling), you should be blacklisted from that SP. It's too bad that this board had less anonymity on both sides. Then, when a no show occurs, that individual would be known to all SPs and the SP could decide if they wanted to see them. This would be like the positive and negative ratings given to people on ebay.

Consequently, the SPs who have been late and are no shows would be getting low ratings and those that provide top service would be recognized.
