I have been following the earthquake in Asia alot latley and thinking alot about disasters around the world and with the cold weather all the kids and people who need cloths and animals with no shelter. I realize there are not alot of posters here in fort mac but Im hoping between posters and lurkers maybe in the area we can try and help. Prices here in fort mac are higher than some places as many of us know, so anyone booking before Feb 1st/05 that has a coat, clothing or shows a receipt of 25 dollars or cheque made out to red cross/spca any orginization will get a 50 dollar credit towards the hour/ half-hour.

I think with the money men spend on this hobby and the money some of the providers/agencies make there is no reason anyone should wake up cold or hungry.

This is a really classy thing to do and my hats off to paige. Way to go.

for those who haven't seen it there is also a sticky in the lounge listing some of the relief organizations that you can donate to to help the victims of the tsnunami/earthquake in Asia.

Write off part of your pooning? Most people dont know that you can write off donations made on your taxes. I spoke with some of the orginizations this morning and they will fax anyone receipts for the cheques.
I hope to see other agencies and SP's get on the band wagon and maybe see something pinned at the top of perb of how much we get every month. Will give the LE a intresting read and maybe some people who drop by this site can see that Service Providers are some of the most giving people in the world.

so if you donate 100 do u get a 200 dollar credit. lol.

Very classy. In this industry, many people look down on it which is unfortuante and wrong because there are alot of great people in here like you paige! Hopefully in the future these negative connotations will be lost and this is a step in the right direction. Very classy, and great to see people caring about people in asia. It is a testiment to your fine character. It is definitely the worst natural disaster of our time and they need all the help they can get from fortunate and blessed individuals like us.

Edmonton Mod, 200 credit? U betcha only thing is you would have to use it over a 4 hour period of time or over 4 visits. Then again maybe you want four girls to visit. Talk about starting the new year off right. ;)

As Rex Murphy said in a CBC commentary last week, we in what is called 'the west' win the only lottery that matters the moment we draw our first breath simply because we weren't born in the Third World. It's so easy to gripe and bitch about petty things and lose sight of just how lucky we truly are. And if something like getting a discount on a session is what it takes to get some folks to be generous to those less fortunate inhabitants of the planet, then you've come up with a terrific idea, Paige. Well done!

I totally agree with what JustAGuy wrote above, and commend Paige for her ingenuity to help those so less fortunate than ourselves.

Way to go Paige!

I think this is a great idea and other MP's should follow suit!

How about a two-for-one for verified donations of $500 or more?

Could be two SP's at the same time for the price of one - or a "pay now get the next one free"...

Geez... ya'd think I am in Marketing or something...

It would also be great if at least one MP would match the offer in each market.
