Hey everyone...I just wanted to try to reach people, and this isn't an ad post (look, no signature!) so I hope it does not get deleted. I think this is the right forum for it...

Please do not recommend me anymore for massage, in 411 posts or privately. My wrists have been hurting me a lot lately and even after not doing a massage for over a week they are still sore. I use my hands a lot for school and other work, plus a lot of computer coding, etc, and then with my massage/hj appointments...well they are just taking too much of a beating. Right now I need them for school, when I am done with school this term I might be able to offer massage again.

However, that being said, temporarily I will continue to offer ONE massage appointment a week for clients whom have already seen me. If this is still too much then I won't offer those either.

You'll notice I've changed my rates, this has nothing to do with economic whatever and everything to do with the fact that I am, up until this moment, 80% a massage provider who now must figure out how to rebrand myself. I'm disappointed because I love doing massage but in my stead I can recommend Madeleine, my old roommate and a paid advertiser here. http://www.xanthine.ca

your mom says hi.
take care of those hands. hopefully you don't develop carpel tunnel or tendinitis. ice them down when you are not busy and maybe take a look and see if you can find some wrist stabilizer tensor braces. wear those while you sleep. it will be annoying at first but it will make a difference.

good luck.

Magnet

I started using a magnet bracelet about 1 year ago and after two weeks with it on I have yet to take it off. I use my wrists a lot for turning down heavy steel nuts and at first I was very skeptical, but my wife gave me one and told me to try it. It worked unbelievably well. The y are cheap. Hope this helps:)

I like these too. My hands used to ache when cold, but I don't notice that any more. Also avoid placing the hand/wrist into a 90 degree angle with added pressure. Try to do the same motion with a bend less than 45 & you might notice a difference. When typing I rest my forearm on the desk.

I used to have problems with my wrists a long time ago when I was on the computer, but about 4 years ago, maybe 5, I got one of these and this is the first time since then that they have bothered me. I am hoping it is just overuse / repetitive like it was when I was using those other types of mice and that it will go away as it did before.

I'll see if magnetic bracelets help. I let it get to the point that right now it even hurts to hold the phone to my ear (stubborn  )

I could not even tip my coffee cup to my mouth. I was very skeptical but it helped for my condition. Best of luck. Post if it helps you.

Get someone else to massage YOUR wrists and forearms (especially your forearms) gently to destress the tissues. I's no cure but Lord it feels good.
