No More Appointments....I HAVE HAD IT!!!!!!!

I've tried many things to help this appointment problem from happening, however to be honest nothing really works. Either they are going to show up on time, show up late, no show or cancel. So pretty much they are going to do what they want regardless and you have no way of avoiding that problem unless you can precisely keep track of the guy(s) who are no showing, etc. But you and me both know that's quite hard as well.

Well couple weeks back I showed up at legends for my 9am appointment to see Vienna and the girls said she'll be with you shortly. After waiting about fifteen minutes a gal tells me your running late, but will be coming, then asked if I would like to see someone else. I got the vibe that she was telling me I was in for quite a wait and decided to see Josie. Which turned out good!

So one suggestion, maybe try and be there when you are supposed to be. I got the impression from the staff reaction that this wasnt the first time this has happened with you!

Wannabe, I apologize for running late as it does happen sometimes. I'm not perfect. 9am appointments are a bit hard for me at times as I'm generally trying to get my shit together and all ready for the crazy day ahead. Generally if the client is understanding and if he happens to still be there willing to stay with me I will work something out with him. Either way I'm glad you decided to see Josie in the end, as she's a great SP.

I don't know if I am just lucky or if I do things different that works better or if, because of my age, I attract a different kind of clientele, but I hardly ever have no shows.. I think I had one in the last 6 months.

Same here. (excluding Winnipeg trip)

2. If there is any hesitation on his part AT ALL about booking, don't book! He just doesn't know how to say he's not interested any more after talking to you. Let it go and don't book him and hope he'll show. He won't. Just be real and say, 'hey it sounds like you need to think about it, and that's cool.. just call me back when you're really ready to book.'

3. I ALWAYS ask for a confirmation call 1 hour prior to the appointment and MUST have a phone number for him to call him back within that hour. If he books several days or weeks in advance, I ask for confirmation the day prior or the morning of. If I don't get the confirmation call, I don't get upset by it, I just imagine that something came up for him and let it go. Getting pissed off doesn't help you be nice to the next client who calls and DOES show up!

5. I only give part of my address on the confirmation call. He needs to call when he's arrived to get the rest of it and my buzz code.

This is exactly what I normally do as well, and I also rarely get no-shows. The times I do get one (rarely), is usually as a result of (me) not having followed one of my usual procedures!.. and I am almost more mad at myself than at the guy who didn't show!

Works really well for me too, though of course that would exclude Winnipeg entirely, as that was an extreme no-show experience I will be very happy not to re-live... ever again! (But thanks to those who did show, you were great ) But for any other city, by following these steps, I rarely ever get no shows.


When I did experience it however, it was unbelievably frustrating. Last minute changes, misunderstandings or miscommunications are bound to happen, but the 'real' no-shows are really frustrating, especially when it means having turned down another appointment and having lost the chance at making *any* money.


So I'm sorry it happened to you, April... When it rain, it pours... It'll turn around soon.

I once waited 30 minutes in the room for a first time meeting with a very popular SP. I was actually dressed again and ready to go check if maybe they forgot about me. I was glad I stayed and still got a full hour from the time she came in the room. Made me wonder if she had another appointment because she was way behind schedule by this time.

I can't recall ever pulling a no show, I have to make appointments and always call if I can't make it. One time a booking was cancelled on me, but that was because there was some problem at the studio and fire crews were there. Everyone was cancelled that night.
I have to thank Kendra though, she made it up to me, with Mika's help.

When I saw this thread and then read your comment, thought I just had to add my two cents.

You had been at the top of my todo list for way too long and I thought it was time to get down to business. Turned out it wasnt meant to be! It did lead to a good session with Josie and then an absolutly amazing session with Eden, so no hard feelings just thought I needed to get it out there.

I am sorry guys for venting like I did. After calming down and having a decent night yesterday, well it almost seems stupid to have worried so much about it....Law of averages always seems to win out in the end.

I like the ideas that were presented and I will do my best to set in plan some of these ideas.

Namssa.....ok I will take my chances with you Just leave your phone number when you book your appointment. So if your not there I can find out what is up. I dont mind waiting if your going to be late.

As for some clients having to wait for their SP's to show on time. Sometimes this is not possible. For example I require 1 hour and 15 mins between appointments. If I dont have this time frame...then I start to fall behind. And I did lose a client because after 3 appointments...I ended up half hour behind. So it isnt always the SP fault that they fall behind. I try to tell all the girls to book me 75 mins between appointments not 60.
