Do you have them ....
Are they the same, or of same type?

I susually do not dream, and don't have too many nightmares, but if I have one .... is that I cannot breathe, usually, I'm under water

Talk to a friend yesterday, and she said, hers is that she has to run, but cannot move her feet, or cannot move them fast enough. But, she is a clever girl, and she found a way to deal with it.... she turns around, and runs ... backward.

So what is your repeated nightmare?

Remember the Cheers episode where Norm became a interior decarator and he was redecorating these yuppie couples place and they were gonna dump on norm untill he said some bullshit story about how he made himself dream about their place, and then the yuppie starbucks drinking fukks were all like oh O.K. cool your in.

Nightmares?

So what is your repeated nightmare?[/QUOTE]

I have a recurring dream of falling. I always startle myslef and jump in my sleep.

Not breathing? That one too, but not as often.

I hardly remember my dreams, but I do recall the sensation more than anything.

I usually get the 'falling' one as I am just dozing off.

thats fucking funny

as for my own personal hell......there's a few
1. have only had this one once but it was VERY VERY vivid and I think I remembered most of it......was on a plane flying along just tickiteeboo fine and without warning the plane points it nose to the ground and heads for mother earth.....my only thought (and this was the sort of weird part) was "well this is going to suck"......no fear, rage, pain, etc. just a sort of hohum shit happens sort of attitude
2. tend to have dreams/nightmares with freakish accuracy when I can expect my next expense account audit.....usually about 3 days before the cheery email from Finance I have a nightmare that our CFO is going through every line item :(
3. this one doesn't happen often but when it does it usually fucks me up for at least the next day......the details are always fuzzy but I have a nightmare where I am royally pissed off by someone (usually a family member) to the point I actually wake up yelling (and feeling a little disconcerted)

weird fact: you cant read in a dream. the reading function is from one side of the brain, dreams are from the other.

i had one the other night. my dad is currently in the hospital. i dreamt that his spirit came and saw me one last time. scared the hell out of me.

the recurring one for me is i am in a room and it either keeps getting bigger or more than likely, i am shrinking. it happens about twice a year or so.

My recurring nightmare is that Fat Julia from grade 8 tells me she loves me, chases me, and sits on me and I suffocate to death.

It's true. Without the analytical power of the logical brain, the "dream" brain has only limited power in processing details, unless you are extremely lucid and willing to focus intensely in the dream. If you try to read a telephone directory, the text will appear to be blurry. However, if you try to read only a few words or lines of text at a time, it is doable.
