Looks like Sean Avery is in deep shit for his comments towards Dione Phaneuf regarding Elisha Cuthbert.

Before the Stars/Flames game Avery sought out the TSN camera crew and said...
"I'm really happy to be back in Calgary. I love Canada, I just want to comment on how it's become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds."

He has been suspended indefinitely and sent home for the rest of the road trip.

Trash talk in sports is common, and pretty much anything can be talked about on the ice.

But what Avery did, in seeking out a camera and taking the trash talk to the media, is stupid, and shows how attention-starved he is.

Avery is a tool.

Considering that she also has been involved with the NHL on the promotion side of things, it does not help his case.

Trash talking other players is one thing...

but derogatory remarks about a player's family/friends/relatives/SOs are really uncalled for.

Regardless of the fact that Avery used to have a relationship with Elisha Cuthbert referring to her as his "sloppy seconds" shows a distinct lack of class (not to mention intellect).

Yeah avery is a tool....doesn't change the idea that Cuthbert is probably a slut....but who cares she's hot.

you can trash talk all you want on the ice, its between you and him, and you can settle it between you if it comes to that.

but when your off ice, and you go out of your way to find a microphone, and make comments, rude shit comments like that.
about the guys girl friend, or family or anything personal,
it just shows a total lack of class.

first its not hockey related, second he cann't defend himself, because he is not there,
and if he was it would turn into a zoo like the morey povich show, or some such looser tv, show with a bunch of mental midgits.
if he had something to say to dion, he should have said it on the ice to the guys face,
that just shows what kind of chicken shit he is.
