The whiners are grossly overpaid.

The owners are dumb enough to grossly overpay them.

Cap the wages, cap the revenue, cut the ticket costs, share any revenue over x$.

Dump a third of the teams, 10-15 games during the regular season, and one round of the playoffs. The game will be far healthier for it.

Goodenow and Bettman both get the boot. They're both selfish, egotistical assholes, who are likely collecting full pay throughout this "Work Stoppage".

Idea 2? Screw it. Go watch Major Junior. Top ticket is less than $20. Take the whole family for less than the cost of one top ticket to an NHL game. One more thing.....those kids don't take a night off like "the stars" tend to do.

Good points James. It's funny, Bettman says he/they need to go through this to save or preserve "the game". The game's just fine, it's the NHL that's screwed.

Go watch non-NHL games and you'll see the game as it should be played. For fun, with passion. The NHL is not " the game", it's a league, and it's screwed.

Brett Hull on Saturday Night Live said that with the strike Canadian guys have more time on their hands to talk to each other about their feelings, so they're falling in love. That explains the gay marriage thing. LOL

As to the game not being screwed up. When you see a minor hockey team using the trap I'd say the game is screwed up.
