Complete bullshit.
Presidents trophy winners have won the Cup 8 times in 32 years- that's 25% of the time.
Do the math on the 2nd place team winning; the 3rd place team winning; the 4th place team winning; the 5th place team winning.....all the way to the 16th place team winning the Cup
Seems like PT winners have the best odds I'd say...….
Edit: 4 other PT winners also went to the SC Final and lost. So, 37.5% of PT winners make the Cup final

agree with that. I think it also speaks to the fact that the league is moving closer to parity.
Im shocked Tampa has done so poorley.Dont write them off yet though but it looks very bad.Really enjoying Leafsvs Bruins and Jets vs St Louis. Id love to see a Canadian team win the cup,its been a while
As for Canadian teams-
- Toronto is in tough with the Bruins. If they make it through (Big IF) then I might possibly cheer them on should they make the final. I like the underdog status of the Jackets and Islanders, and the Caps are just built for the playoffs.
- Winnipeg is also in tough against St. Louis and I don't think they will make it through, but I would also support them against the West- except for San Jose.
- Calgary can go fuck themselves. I hope Colorado bounces their snotty ass. Unless they meet the Bruins in the final I can't see myself supporting the Flamers.
O.K., O.K., it's back to the beginning then. I wonder how often two teams lose the first two games each on home ice? If there is any home ice advantage, Jets got it now.
Yup. Looking at the Pens, I wonder if they're going to move Malkin or Crosby for next year. That [very expensive] tandem may be played out.
My Prediction: All the Canadian Teams are out, in the 1st Round .

Not looking good for the Canadian teams. Im really disappointed with the Jets, they really blew it The Leafs didn't seem as focused as they should be. Wondering if the soap opera with Kadri is effecting them more than it should? Im not surprised about the flames. Im bracing myself for the possible disappointment of all Canadian teams being eliminated in round one. Leafs or Jets for the cup would be fantastic. If I gotta dream , it might as well be big.
So disappointed in the Jets, I thought of all the Canadian teams,they were the best shot for bringing home the cup. Guess im officially cheering for the leafs. This years playoffs have been full of upsets I never would have predicted.
