Ok , I admit i,m a fan , but now i,m pissed , greed from both sides with zero concern for the fan and the spin off businesses who pay and support them.
My circle has a plan ....... and we hope many others also take up this plan.
For everyday that they are out , we the fans boycott them for 2.
If they are out 25 games , when they come back we strike them for 50 more.
I know many are going to say , they are done , fuck the nhl and and and , but will be back when entertainment is needed.
BUT , we the fan , have a right and a duty to make this lock out different and let them know we exist also.
Please join us and pass the word. if you have season tickets , leave seats empty. A couple of my buddies are going to put blow up dolls in thier season ticket seats and walk out.

Meh, don't really care, i'll watch the Salmon kings til they end there pissing contest.Top ticket price? $25. Both sides will just throw away a seasons worth of earnings.

good post but add that the Owners also want more restrictions on UFA and RFA clauses. ie they want to own the players mobility for more years than previous CBA's.

Salmon kings?? Salmon kings?? They folded in Victoria ECHL.

The Victoria Salmon Kings were a professional ice hockey team based in Victoria, British Columbia.
They were members of the Mountain Division of the Western Conference of the ECHL, debuting in the 2004–05 ECHL season and folding after the 2010–11 ECHL season as the Chilliwack Bruins WHL franchise relocated to Victoria and they couldn't simultaneously operate. They played out of the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. WHL team is the Victoria Royals.

BCJHL Vancouver Island division has. Victoria Grizzles, Naniamo Clippers, Alberni Valley Bulldogs. Cowichan Valley Capitals and the Powell River Paper Kings

Ha ha ha ha oops, Royals, thanks BJ. Played Vancouver last night last night :-D, just got back in town so i'm looking forward to catch a few games this year.

Your group should be searching for ways to support the pubs, restaurants, etc. that usually get business during the NHL games. By all means boycott the NHL (and its players) when play returns, but only if it does not affect the innocent 3rd parties.

His Red Wings organization was reportedly fined $250,000.00 by the NHL !!! He referred to the players as "cattle". Probably accurate but not very subtle

we have a friend that owns a little bar/pub and we are thinking the same way , this will really be hurting him.
I wish a network would show us the Russian league games , so many of the players will be there anyways.
I hope this backfires on Bettman and the players stay.

Personally I dont give a rats ass.....I am not in favour of the players and I am not in favour of the owners.
I dont buy tickets to games and I do not purchase jersies for the team I cheer for and I have not done so since the last strike/lock-out....just me voting with my wallet....sadly though enough people dont have my mindset...if they did and the impact had been obvious then it would be a different situation.

Both the PA and the owners had more than enough time to get this resolved as both parties knew of the
impending deadline so I say fuck them both.

Fortunatly for me I am not some zombie who will watch sports just for the sake of watching sports...such as watching a Columbus VS San Jose game just because it is on TV but I am a Flames fan....or even resort to watching basketball just because it is a sports game.....fuck I would rather watch re-runs of Mork & Mindy.
