This week take all the home team dogs. Theres a lot of good ones.
In the pool that I run, one guy just just drew a line from the top to the bottom on the home side, and I would for the most part, tend to agree with the homes being the stongest this week.

Are you ready for some football!

Home dogs are usually a safe profitable way to bet.

But this week i like Indy, NYJ, NE, Pit & Miami ATS.

Best bet Indy -9.5 over Wash.

Profitable yes. Safe? Are you kidding. As you inevitably have the worst team its usually up in the air until late 4th quarter as to which way its going to go, eg Atlanta and Kansas City wins. Rarely do you ever get a laugher where you can feel secure with your bet from the beginning of the game. Anyway thus far they are 4-2 on the plus side. Cleveland and Oakland to come.
Can't argue with that. Just meant safe in the sense of
being a money maker over the long term, kinda like an
investment in real estate.

That is true. Most years if you close your eyes and hold your nose and flat bet every single home dog that comes up you will make a profit. Last year was an exception though. A couple of weeks they got absolutely massacred leading to a net loss for the year. First time thats ever happened to me. Most reliable home team dogs over the years have been Kansas City and Seattle.
I understand last year was a bad one for dogs in general.
So not a great one for most bookies.

NE -2.5...over the Vikings...how easy was that, boyz? And Det/SJ under 6.

This week {NFL #9} we have some very good looking games going:

Denver @ PITTSBURG {Steelers favored by 2.5}

Indianapolis @ NEW ENGLAND {Colts 3 point dogs}

Should both be great games to watch.

I figure Pats over Indy. Payton and his boys just can't seem to beat Mr. Brady. I would expect Dillon and Mahoney to have big games so the Pats will keep the ball away from the Colts offense.

I can't think of two teams I hate more the the Broncos and the Steelers, oh wait I forgot about the Redskins and Raiders. Denver in a romp if Rothesburger doesn't pick it up.

I also like the Pack to "upset" the Bills in a high scoring game. Favre is looking a bit like the gunslinger of yesteryear and Losmen is not very good at all but I've been wrong all year.

Not surprisingly turnovers could be considered the difference in
the two games. I think it was 5-0 in favor of Denver over the
STEELERS, and 5-2 for the Colts at the PATRIOTS. Otherwise
i'd bet the home teams win.

NFL WEEK 12:

I think the Patriots-Bears is the matchup of the week.

Really looking forward to seeing this one, possibly a Super Bowl preview.

NFL WEEK 13:

A couple games i'd like to see this week are Dallas at NYG
and Seattle at Denver. Denver will be starting a new QB
who is a rookie. The Seahawks have their star RB and QB
back healthy now. Dallas is a 3.5 and Denver a 4 point fav.

NFL WEEK 14:

I like NE to win at Miami & cover the 3 points @ -115.

Jacksonville-Indy should be one to watch.

Also the Cowboys-Saints.
