Newbie needs help with a question

Hi all, I'm new to perb, but I have been to Sapphires and Penthouse in edmonton, but have been wanting ask a question, though I was unsure if asking an SP is appropriate.
I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me how massage parlours are legal as compared to prostitution?

Do you mean under Vancouver law? Massage parlours are legal in Edmonton, but brothels are not, so it's like a nudge nudge wink wink scenario. As long as they don't make trouble for the police, the police won't make trouble for them.

massage parlours are not illegal in vancouver, as many of them are licenced by city hall. what happens in the rooms of the massage parlour may or may not be legal depending whether the activities contravene the criminal code of canada. a straight massage would be perfectly legal, other activities might not be legal. I'm not sure whether massage parlour rooms are considered public places in vancouver or not.

Essentially only outcalls to your home or hotel room are legal. Even an incall location for an indy girl would be considered a "common bawdy house."
