Okay, I've done this quite a bit down in the US but I had my first experience in Vancouver the other day.
Down here, the typical fee is $40/$60 (half-hour/hour) payable when you walk in. This typically goes to the house and a tip is expected, even if you stick with just a massage. If FS, the total ends up being at least $200 if not more. If an HJ, then a bit less.
I noticed the pricing at a spa on Kingsway was straight away $150 to $230. I gave a $100 cash tip afterwards and the provider seemed a little surprised.
Given what I read on some spa websites, the published rate is all-inclusive. Is that the case? Was I expected to tip? What's the usual practice up there?
