Riding Off Into The Sunset
There was a thread called "new studio" recently started about Shiatsu and then closed, where sweets made the following comment:

"new studio
Stopped by the new studio Shiatsu on 50th, great job. Had a massage with one of the ladies there named Sonja, nice touch.
The studio is a great improvement to the old surroundings. Check out the place nice and classey."

For some reason three members decided to jump on this poster and call him a Troll and a Shill. I found the comments to be valid and not over the top. Maybe they did so because it was his first post, even though sweets signed up on March 25th,2004. Are you going to tell me that this person sat in the weeds for 5 months waiting for the day when he could post a review about Shiatsu? Come on guys, get real!

I also checked out this studio which was formerly Sweets 69 and Executive and I can validate sweets comments. Fiona (who I met for the first time) gave me a tour and it is very nice inside and an improvement over the previous digs. As for the girls working there, I have no idea on their quality. I guess we'll have to wait for upcoming reviews.

There, now are you dudes going to call me a Troll/Shill as well? Rafterman I'm especially dissapointed in you being a senior member here. It's no wonder that lurkers out there are afraid to join up when they get jumped on like this. Does a person have to have 100 posts before they are to be believed?

Note to our Mods. In the future when you close a thread could you please inform us as to why. Thanks.

I Agree

PM, I agree. The place is totally different now. Anyone who was in there when it was Sweet 69/Executive probably won't recognize it. I was there last weekend, and even though I wasn't staying for a session, Fiona was nice enough to show me around.

You notice the difference as soon as you walk though the door, there is a hallway eventually leading to a more private waiting and the massage rooms. The floors are all laminate, not carpet. If it weren't for the body shampoo, I don't think I would have recognized a thing.

I remain suspicious, with the name "sweets", just happened to be the name of the previous incarnation at that location. Maybe a coincidence or maybe a conspiracy.

The wording "go in and check it out". Just doesn't ring quite right for a pooner.

Plus absolutely no detail about the lady or the session. I don't need the real personal stuff and maybe its newbie inexperience but will have to see a couple more posts from "Sweets" before I reappraise.

Maybe I've just been snookered too many times will a phony bill of goods and I'm getting hard and cynical in my old age.

With all due respect to your 900 posts and your numerous excellent reviews and comments so far. You are off the mark on this one. First of all all any legit review of a new studio would include the address of the place. Second let's count the number of adjectives used by "sweets"

"Stopped by the new studio Shiatsu on 50th, great job. Had a massage with one of the ladies there named Sonja, nice touch.
The studio is a great improvement to the old surroundings. Check out the place nice and classey."

Add to that the fact that this is his/her first post and anyone would consider this throllin and shilling the forum. Further, your analysis of the timeframes of when this person registered and posted his/her first post is irrelevent. Since it does take a while to renovate a studio it is conceivable the poster did register for the purposes that he/she is accused off.

Now I did not know that he previous place was called sweet69. But knowing this now, adds to the suspicion, since the poster handle is sweets. Coincidence?

Anyway, why do you feel the need to defend that poster? Can't he/she speak and be concise about their intentions? If they want to use the forum to introduce themselves and let us know they just renovated and renamed the studio and it is now totally different then say so honestly and candidly, don't disguise it as a review. That is the reason why the poster was treated that way.

Bye for now
