LOL
The post (below) is funny, but the fact that it's so true is so sad. People are really stupid in general, and unfortunately no different when it comes to pets.

A couple of weeks ago, I read a post from a retarded woman about her 10wks old puppy I just could not resist replying to (no, I did not tell her I thought she was retarded ;) ).

She was giving away her puppy saying that it was BAD with kids because it was trying to bite her youngest. Uuh. What did you expect? For the puppy to come pre-trained? Duh. Of course your puppy is going to try to bite, it's a PUPPY and that happens to be how PUPPIES and dogs PLAY with each other.. I doubt the puppy is doing this out of aggression or meaning to hurt. It's just thinking of it as playing so to this was no reason to say that it just was BAD with kids.

Unless you train her (puppy?... or retarded lady?), it won't know any different. I gave her an easy trick someone told me to try when my puppy was biting and that worked really well. She sent a reply but it's still sitting unread in my inbox.. I honestly have been too scared to read how retarded her response is.

They're not disposable toys!
Yes, they're all sooooo cute when they're little... but look at how many are abandoned when they're not so cute and little any more. :(
Get your pets spayed or neutered!

K... Rant over. :) I thought this was a pretty funny read:

Please help! After two long years of being on a waiting list for a dog, we have been notified by breed rescue that, at long last, our number has come up and ... WE ARE HAVING A PUPPY!

We must get rid of our children IMMEDIATELY because we just know how time consuming our new little puppy is going to be and it just wouldn't be fair to the children. Since our little puppy will be arriving on Monday we MUST place the children up for adoption this weekend!

They are described as:
One male -- his name is Tommy, Caucasian (English/Irish mix), light blonde hair, blue eyes. Four years old. Excellent disposition. He doesn't bite. Temperament tested. Does have problems with peeing directly in the toilet. Has had chicken Pox and is current on all shots. Tonsils have already been removed. Tommy eats everything, is very clean, house trained and gets along well with others. Does not run with scissors and with a little training he should be able to read soon.

One female -- her name is Lexie, Caucasian (English/Irish mix), strawberry blonde hair, green eyes quite freckled. Two years old. Can be surly at times. Non-biter, thumb sucker. Has been temperament tested but needs a little attitude adjusting occasionally. She is current on all shots, tonsils out, and is very healthy and can be affectionate. Gets along well with other little girls and little boys but does not like to share her toys and therefore would do best in a one child household. She is a very quick learner and is currently working on her house training. Shouldn't take long at all.

We really do LOVE our children so much and want to do what's right for them. That is why we contacted a rescue group. But we simply can no longer keep them. Also, we are afraid that they may hurt our new puppy.

I hope you understand that ours is a UNIQUE situation and we have a real emergency here! They MUST be placed into your rescue by Sunday night at the latest or we will be forced to drop them off at the orphanage or along some dark, country road. Our priority now has to be our new puppy.

I would probably sooner live in a cardboard box than give up my dog because I'm having a difficult time finding a pet friendly place in Vancouver - so I don't understand those who give up their pets for that reason.. But for us RESPONSIBLE pet owners who can't find a place to live in this (intolerant) city, please sign this petition?? ;)

yeah, i have found it weird that in vancouver, a healthy and active city, rarely have places to rent that allows pets. i mean, i can understand landlords worried about their investments, but i'm sure destructive people could probably cause more damage than a destructive pet, lol:rolleyes:

While Vancouver may be a pet-unfriendly place for renters, there are worse situations.
I lived in Southern California for a period of time. Finding rentals that allowed children was impossible. Pets, ok but children not.

Hopefully someone can help me.
I have a 4 year old poodle that i got from someone and she doesn't tell me when she has to go the bathroom. I am with her all the time, sometimes in the day and night as well. She goes to the door but she will not bark.
any help much appreciated. Excellent dog otherwise.
how to teach her to bark or let me know she has to go....
