First of all, thanks for having me as a part of this forum.
I was googling reviews after hearing that such things existed, and came across Perb. My googling reviews came about, because of seeing someone who advertised on Craigslist, who really wasn't an SP at all, just a scam artist pretending to be. Yes her ad is now gone, this was back in September. The wealth of knowledge here is mind blowing, and to have a forum for us to share on is amazing.
As a somewhat new pooner, who has not seen a lot of working girls (ladies for those who feel girl is a bad word) this 'boy' has an awful lot to learn. Most of the people I've seen so far have been at agencies, or found on Craigslist, the forum has opened up a whole new world to me. My Craigslist ventures have not been the best, from lackluster service, fake photos, to a full rip off.
Eventually once I feel more comfortable here, and accepted, I plan to write an occasional review of my own, but thus far have only added my 2 cents to existing reviews.
As great a place as this is, it is also intimidating for me as a new user. Should I write a glowing review on someone, it's likely that I'll be labeled a Shill. Write a negative review, and then it could be construed that I am a Troll.
So for now I will happily contribute a small amount, read lots, learn much, and when in time I feel that I've become a trusted member of this community, will do reviews to. Honestly though the hardest part was learning what some of the abbreviations meant, why I repeatedly saw four numbers used, and figuring out the names of actions that are partaken of in this industry. So far it has been educational for me to learn even just a small bit about this lifestyle.
Thanks again for having me, and I hope to keep reading, see some new Service Providers, and chime in on occasion.
While a few days early, Happy New Year everyone.

Welcome to Perb. Tim is a wise man, its good to ask questions (that’s what we are here for), but also good to review the ladies you have seen, doesn’t need to be Penthouse material, the basics do the trick (communication, incall details ie: clean/stocked, looks/service, would you repeat/recommend and fee details/contact info), I remember a lady advertising in Revy last winter when I was there...

Great link to the rules, thanks for that. And a huge thanks for the other posts and multiple PM's I have received in support. On this forum I've not been bullied at all, but reading along on some threads have seen some unfounded negativity. When I got into drone flying a couple years ago, I signed up with a drone forum, that was like the Wild West of internet bullying. While still technically a member of that forum, and occasional reader, not once have I posted, because it surely would be considered a stupid newbie question if I asked what questions i would like to ask. Treatment of others, be it in person, or on the internet, should be that of kindness and civility. Moving to a small town years ago was great for restoring my soul, but as a single person who has occasional sexual desires, it sure limited my choices. Hence why finding a forum such as Perb is great! The boring nights alone in my hotel room while in Vancouver are sure to decrease as well with the input of the board members.

Some guys don't like criticism of their favourite ladies. Some guys are just negative about everythng.
You will quickly see how many guys are very predictable.

Most guys who have seen lots of ladies know that your mileage always varies (YMMV). There is an element of risk in this activity that some cannot accept. Not every session is an out of the park home run. Write what happened in your encounter as objectively as you can, but if you are disappointed wait a few days so anger does not colour your objectivity.

Welcome Correct.

You and I have already exchanged comments in a couple of threads. This link will help you with the acronyms.

Thanks.
Fortunately I found that thread about a week ago, it helped a lot trying to figure out some meanings. Then earlier I asked what edging is, as it wasn't on the list, and I've been reading a thread on who provides the service. Funny to think that despite being sexually active myself for 25 years, I knew very few of the terms, and tried only a small percentage of them.

That seems like very poor administration on the part of whoever runs that forum. From your description, it seems like the forum must be considerably less useful to members than it could be.

I only participate in two online forums. PERB is one, and the other is related to motorsports. The motorsports forum is very small, and the owner, administrator and moderator are one and the same person. He demands courtesy, and his policy is so well understood that I have never seen an instance in which he had to delete a post or discipline a member. I am one of the least mechanically-knowledgeable people on that forum, but I can go on there any time and ask any question, no matter how "stupid" it might be. Someone, usually several people, will try to help me, and will usually follow up to see if I've solved my problem.

I realize that's a special case, but it shows how things "could" work, with the right attitude. PERB is, no doubt, a much more difficult forum to manage. I've seen it go through phases of nastiness and phases of almost too much "niceness", but I think the current administrators and moderators here do a credible job of keeping a lid on things, and most of the people on PERB are here to have fun or to advance their businesses.

Should I write a glowing review on someone, it's likely that I'll be labeled a Shill. Write a negative review, and then it could be construed that I am a Troll.
It's all about how you present yourself on the review. You kind of have to be an English Major to articulate yourself well enough to be taken seriously. Even with a low post count, you can still give a good review and have it taken seriously. Just give a lot of details about the experience 'Dear Penthouse,.." style, but don't give details that would hinder the security of the lady you visited. If you articulate yourself well with a balanced approached (like the BBBJ was great, but was the sheets clean and the soap hypoallergenic, or the "handler" respectful?).

On that point, describe yourself too. Most reviews (even from well-established posters) forget that YMMV is a prevalent issue with any SP. And even if they get a glowing review with one client, it might not work with you. Sometimes the SP might have an 'off-day', or sometimes there might not be any chemistry between you two, usually (imo) looks are the determining factor. Middle-aged? Are you a blue-collar hero with sleeve tats, or a straight-laced GQ wannabe office drone? How big are the love-handles? Did you lose an 'inch' gaining that weight? Could she even find it due to your lack of manscaping? Did you tell her you ate a bunch of asparagus before you showed up? ....being admittingly humble about yourself before writing the review helps the rest of us bloated middle-aged, shrinking men get a clue as to whether or not that particular SP will look past the imperfections of the average-joe and still give 10/10 service, at least 8 times out of 10.

As for negative reviews, again, it's all how you present yourself here. Can't just blatantly say "she's a scammer, asked for a BBBJ and all I got was a tip-licked CBJ WOT WOT WOT", and that's it. Again, it's about the details. Sort of have a CYOB mentality too. Prove you've done everything right, to be the most respectful client you could be, then explain how you still got screwed at your meet...the bad 'screwed' = scammed, bait n' switch....not the good screw...

...but there could still be a chance that you'll be labelled as a troll anyways, and it's usually from those who are trolls themselves, or it's the 'handler' or the SP herself worried about the bad rep online. Just shake it off, and don't get into it with them. The thing about retaliation on forums (no matter where on the internet) is you'll be just as culpable as the troll who started it. Admins tend to get all SJW-y when things get out of control and tend to go after the person who dig it in the deepest (not here on PERB they've been cool, imo). So even if you get the upperhand in the spat, you'll get banned in the end, and the actual troll goes free. Admins don't care about context, just whatever gets the most flags, like whack-a-mole.

Post reviews of your experiences. Just be fair, accurate and give relevant information like donation, general location, accuracy of the pics etc. LAS or Looks, Attitude and Service are all subjective terms where there really isn't a consensus. If she was attractive and fun is all you need to state.

The Shill Police and White Knights are dealt with by the Mods so so have no fear about their commentary.

right here and now
IMO just post your reviews and let the cards fall where they may.
Early in my PERB existence I was called out for my positive reviews. Seems that in some senior members' opinions I'd experienced too many solid encounters before needing to post about shitty hook-ups. TFB for them. I just moved forward and did my thing. Always be honest. Credibility is usually fairly easy for most to determine. Lately quite a few "bad seeds" have been easily caught out- with a bit of experience it's not too tough.
I believe the Review and 411 sections should be a lot more about Give AND Take.
Put something useful out for the community before you ask for too much in return. It doesn't have to always be a stand-alone review, but perhaps some credible intel related to another member's review.
The Lounge is what it is- particular review histories aren't necessarily relevant. A thick skin definitely helps- it can be tough to always catch the humour from the printed word.
For instance- 56 posts and only a quick pop about Aubrey at WCA and some messed up Tatyanna chick that you bailed on? FFS, post a review!
