WTH is with the long distance numbers in the ads?
Yes, I was told already.... burner numbers. ... and I would assume cheap numbers too.
But is it really worth for advertisers?
One of my friends ask me if she should get such a number. I said.... Are you out of your mind?
( Bit now, I'm questioning myself, hence this post )
My rationale was....
- maybe the numbers are cheap ( I did not check it )
- but for married clients ( in some cases it is 50% of the business ) it is a call that might leave a trace of listing to a long distance number.
Of course, I will get some smart-ass posts about using second phone for this hobby, but remember this. There is a HUGE group of pooners that do it so rarely that they never would have a second phone. Yet, this group is so big, you cannot cut yourself out from this group using some stupid and cheap long distance number.
- lots of ads, want now to be contacted by SMS. Depending on your plan, this might be an extra charge too
I do not want to sound like a cheap client, but that means another questionable entry on your monthly bill.
So my question is..... especially to girls who use such a number...... why would you use it? Is it such a huge financial benefit? is it easier to use then a regular number?
