New credit cards allow hands-free theft

If any of you folks are using one of the new RFID credit cards, you could get your financial info sucked out of you while the card is still in your wallet. Watch out!!

Now that's an insanely bad idea. Who came up with it? The russian mafia?

I was reading further about online and credit card fraud. I'd feel alot better if I didn't have to give out my credit card number but could generate a number automatically that was specific to a certain website and transaction.

I think american express has or had a system like this. I wish it were more common.

Isn't CC theft covered by the issueing companies? What's the worry?
