Are these guys blind?????????? I rode to work on one of the new trolley buses along Broadway today. There is NO!!!! room to sit. Very few seats.
Lots of room to stand. What's with that? It's crazy!!!!

The old ones have lots of seating. No where to stand. the opposite.

very strange.

I think the trick is that the new busses hold more people in total than the old ones?
Did you also notice the new buses have no stairs.. lots of floor space for wheel chairs. the new buses are handicap accessible, the old ones were not.

Same geniuses who bought those shelters that guarantee you'll get plenty wet in a rain storm. Luckily it never rains around here.

... and get sunburned in the summer.

All this would be solved if Translink executives routinely had their cars towed and junked when they were hired.

Its a friggin nightmare going into Vancouver from where I am. I'd almost rather walk.

Transit companies get a subsidy to provide low floor easy access transit. The side effect of this is that they have to buy twice as many busses to handle the same number of passengers.
Some stupid car driving beancounter in Ottawa dreamed up this ride.
An old 40' bus can handle 90 people in sardine mode and a new low floor 40' bus is lucky to cram 65 people.

The new buses both Trolly and the new Diesel, just aren't comfortable to ride even if you are lucky to grab one of the new seats, Please take a gander at the Sky Train station's, There is not one that has a good size elevators, when my mom was alive she lived in an old folks where the on going joke was that u could walk down quicker than the elevator. The ones at the skytrain station's they are all small , they smell from people useing them has a bathroom. I wonder what was the thinking with the escalators, some have none most only have one some going up some going down, like whats with that, did some desighner just want some variety in their day, How come no 7-11 type store or coffee kiosk something, these new throw away newspaper are a godsend we needed cushions when it gets wet and when were ready to leave just drop them on the floor, they are biodegradable are they ? they seem to mix in well with the cigarette butts Timmy's and Starbuck cups, Maintenance or cleaning is not a worry must be no one does it. 2times a year a crew comes in and cuts the grass and with a leaf blower cleans out the garbage blows it on to sidewalks, like clockwark another crew come out and blow said garbage back in, Privatization, now one is in charge. Some bus loops are not owned byTranslink, Most are own bt the Municipalty that they sit inOk thats my rant
