Heard of...

There was a story in Edmonton (or Calgary, I can't remember) on Global of a guy that bought a "new" tv.. When he took it in for a minor service because it was not running right, the repair guys told him the tv had over 3,600 hours on it!! There is apparently an hour meter that the techs can use...

"If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is...."

Buyer be ware..

Its nice to know a bit more info on the TV as well. There are a few 'levels' of a 42" LG TV. The good, better and best versions of the same TV.

I'd need a model number first as well.

His number was disconnected that day after he told me he would replace mine which keeps turning off.

I'm still waiting....

If someone knows how to reach him. I am all ears.

This sounds like the same story for those guys who used to roam around town in a truck selling HiFi equipment
The White Van Speaker Scam! To my knowledge this is still going on. I've been approached a few times and even one time coned the con man into giving me a ride. I told him sure I'd love to buy a set of those 'big thumping' speakers buuuuut the cash is at my destination so you'll have to give me a ride. Then I bolted on him when we got there :D
