I tanned several times per week for about 5 years, but quit several years ago when all the horror stories started being publicized. I still miss it, and get cravings for it, so it must have produced some kind of chemical high in my brain I guess.

The thing I hate about it is over here we are taught tanned is sexy and kill ourselves trying to get that glow. In Asia they are taught being light skinned is the prettiest and I saw girls as young as 8 in the store buying toxic creams to make themselves lighter.

We are so brainwashed.
I keep telling myself I look healthy and fine with pale white skin ... but I've always felt more attractive with a dark tan.

I've never been in a tanning bed in my life but have had skin cancer twice. Its no joke. Cover up and wear sunscreen. Smooth pale skin beats brown cancer any day.

At least we live in the age where we can independently find out what's the real deal from experts.
