Yeah... negative reviews..hmm.. this is what I think:
I think that there are 3 kinds of negative reviews and that the value depends on which kind it is.
1- A fake review bashing an escort.
(obviously) has no value - unless the author is another sp and this sp is identified, then it's useful in helping you avoid the jealous sp lol
2- A tactless negative review with insensitive, hurtful comments without context or any regard to the fact that one is talking about a human being. Also, no real explanation that could help the reader get clearer idea about what the reviewer disliked.
This kind of review isn't generally useful to many people because 1) the sp is hurt and isn't given any hints on how she can improve 2) the reader doesn't have enough info to balance his own preferences with that of the reviewer so in cases where the negative review is based on subjective things, it's impossible or very hard to use the reviewer's comments and apply them to his own situation.
3- A well written negative review that is well worded and informative to others, giving them a good enough idea so that they can decide whether or not what the reviewer may have considered negative is also negative to them; it might not make a difference, it might in fact be exactly what they're looking for.
A well written review may not be easy to do but in many cases, it is the only way a negative review can be fair and really valuable to everyone.
eg: "she was old"
If the author is 20 and the sp, for example, looked 30 and this seemed old to him...that's fine.
But a reader who is 50, might be looking for someone who is 30, but when reading the review won't have a clue that due to the reviewers age, what is old to one is not necessarily so for the other.
If the reviewer doesn't take the time or effort to word his review in a way that includes this kind of information, a reader will imagine *old* to mean whatever age is *old* to them...which makes the comment useless to anyone other than those looking for someone under 30. Without that kind of information in the review, it's impossible to know that what the reviewer disliked about the sp in question and what he is qualifying as "old" is actually exactly what some readers may be looking for.
I also think it's important not to ASSume that every guy out there has the same likes/dislikes and is looking for the same thing you may be looking for. This seems to be the belief of those tactless reviewers and their negative reviews often demonstrate that they fail to realize this and clearly expect their opinion to apply to everyone else, without any need for more information.
In those cases, the review ends up serving little to no other purpose and is nothing more than someone's gratuitous hurtful attacks on an sp...which is just selfish, mean spirited and counter productive IMO.
