I would only recommend it if you are or want to be an accountant. Otherwise I'd just stay with pooning.

1. check the paper or monster.ca to see who hires for that position ... if anyone

2. the feds also publish (check their website) a list of 'hot and not' jobs ...

3. is this through public college or university or one of private colleges that goes belly up every second week?

there are only three accepted accounting designations:

CA ... chartered accounted
CGA ... certified general accountant
CMA ... certified management accountant

never heard of an 'accounting administrator' so beware of what you are getting into ...

what exactly is an accounting administrator? I suggest you take a few bookkeeping/accounting courses through your community centre or local college. The courses will run your around $350; $10K is a rip off. Better for a local college in the event that actually want to pursue a CGA or CMA one day since those college courses are usually transferable to those programs (CAs are different). Just my two bits anyways.
