Here and There
I've got some serious dry skin which does not react well to irritants at all; sand, salt, insulation, hell even sweating and wearing a rougher fabric shirt can cause me to get red blotchy and chaffed (yea basically looks like a rash). Generally this has always been shoulders and neck and the few sp's I've seen haven't had an issue when I've mentioned or pointed it out.

However. Was working with chemicals designed to be absorbed into metal (so they're going straight thru your cloths no problem) all week and apparently on Friday my thighs have had enough and now I'm sitting here with basically what looks (a feels like) sunburns running from my knees up 3/4 the inside of my legs (basically where stuff rubs together when you walk; and me having appointments tomorrow and Monday scheduled.

So I'm looking at the possibility of being told "no" when I go in and say this is what's up with me are you ok with that? Obviously I've no problem with that, my own career has me face very real immediate dangers and my safety is predicated on my "right to refuse" - which I have exercised before. So I understand. But I have no intention of leaving a full 2hr donation if told "no dice". But as I didn't straight up cancel (as I said wasn't an issue on previous occasions - different body area though) and as I would like an opportunity to see them at a later time ( getting tested over Xmas anyways when I'm back at home) it would ease my mind to leave something. So what's the standard?

And one more quickie while I have your attention. Had planters warts when I was quite young and I never want that shit again. Can I bring flip flops to an sp's shower (I'm not kidding I bring a pair to relatives houses when I visit). What's a good way to get em there (someone walking thru a lobby with flip flops does look kinda funny you know)

Cheers

You should contact them now, well before the appt times, and let them decide now if they want to go ahead or not. Springing it on them on arrival, well, yeah you should pay a cancel fee because you had enough time to describe the incident, and you had time to cancel and still give them opportunity to book someone else into that time if they chose not to see you.

I am not sure there is enough time for your appt tomorrow, unless you do it immediately. But there sure is for the Monday appt. Describe it exactly as you have here, I'd say with tomorrow's try calling rather than email, but do something asap.

Monday's I've seen before and had already forewarned the first time, but your right, so I did send another email explaining. It's been a crummy weekend so too much on my mind. But what I'm asking is what's An acceptable cancel fee. I get basically a third of a days pay when I show up to work and we all get sent home on no notice. After reading some threads this is alot better than no shows and better than people calling up before and canceling with an excuse.
I know I'm not contagious, so do the people that know me, so I tend not to think about it and I tend to forget I'm dealing with people who can't take what people say at face value - my bad.

Should have seen me after I thought it was a good idea to hop the fence at the banff hot springs and body slide around on their pool blanket cover. Didn't get out of bed for three days!

And sorry if this sounds defensive was supposed to be a fun weekend and nothings worked out. Guess it's karma for calling my partner at work a plague victim plus wearing my respirator and a joke makeshift hazmat suit.... I might have also made his lunch table spot a quarantine zone. But it was all for the lols I swear!

And the flip flops man what about the flip ( I'm not kidding I'm in a hotel right now sleeping in a sleeping bag!)

i can't help you with the sensitive skin bit because there could be so many causes - only a dermatologist or possibly a naturopath could help you out there. no cancellation fee is due if you cancel with enough notice and certainly cancelling tomorrow for monday's appointment is plenty of time. as for the flip flops, a small sports bag is perfectly acceptable for a man to carry under any circumstances, and you can have your flip flops in the pocket that sports gags tend to have for footwear... and you can fill the rest of the bag up with your own moisturizer that doesn't bother your skin, your own brand of lube and a giant sized package of your own super-thin condoms if you wish! i've know guys that take their own toys - hell, let your imagination run wild

My skin is just run of the mill dermatitis. I've long ago talked with a dermatologist. Soaps and detergents don't really bother me that much. They just dry me out real bad. Abrasives, irritants, and things that dry out normal people hit me like a ton of bricks. Off topic an unnecessarily tmi i guess. It's 2am can't sleep forgive me.

Gym bag great idea never had one always used my hiking packs. Gonna get one.

All questions answered cased closed thanks a mil
