There are reports that Nedved will be claimed by Ottawa on waivers. Ottawa will only be responsible for half of his pro-rated salary. Due to injuries, Ottawa may be making this move.

Knowing that Ottawa is very keen on adding a player due to injuries, why wouldn't Nonis try to put Marc Chouinard on waivers? Maybe Ottawa might take him over Nedved. Chouinard hasn't done much here in Vancouver as well and he has another year left on his contract for 1.2 million.

A bit of a surprise. I guess Edmonton will play him with Sykora and Hemsky.

Nedved played his recent best hockey as an Oiler, and likely would have stayed if his SO at the time didn't grab him by the pecker and pulled him back across the border.

Now that the Oil have a surplus of centres including Nedved, one of them is likely going to get traded for an offensive D-man. My money is on Horcoff for Reddon.

You may have the right info on this trade scenario. My question is whether Nedved will fit in with Hemsky & Sykora. In my experience as a coach & player in my younger days I learned two guys who like to shoot & score (Nedved/Sykora) on the same line never seemed to click.

So as much as I do like Nedved as having some potential, I am not convinced he will fit with the other two. I guess time will tell.

Some of the best scoring lines had a combination of finesse (Gretzky, Oates, and the likes), scorers (Kurri, Nealy, Hull etc) and the muckers (Lumley, Tikkanen, Hodge, Cashman and so on)

Then again, maybe Nedved will be part of the deal for a quality defenceman?

Appears Ottawa was interested too, until they got Comrie. Hmm who the hell knows. Maybe Edm will offer Nedved and someone else so they can get Spacek back lol.
