Hey Guys and Girls :p just wondering if anyone has been to Nando's in Coquitlam. Wanna go check it out, haven't had a chance though. Heard good things, any one else heard anything or tried it?

As long as it's just like the other Nando's, it's A ok in my book.

Nandos is a Mav-Spinner Regimen certified restaurant. Just avoid the mayo on the chicken breast sandwich and try to stick with the rice and their suberb spring mix salad and you're on your way to being spun. Fries as the occasional treat is ok ;).

your mom says hi.
nandos is great food. very tasty and yes very good for you as well but my only con is that i always seem to leave the place still hungry and my wallet substantially lighter. the food is not cheap and in my mind any place that i go to eat at and leave hungry but having spent as much as i do at nandos is not an all the time kinda place.

Once in a while I invite myself to Nandos in Richmond, it's szooooo good, hard to resist. :)
Thanks! Interesting use of chili peppers for marinades and sauces .... shouldn't have given out the ingredients now I can make that stuff myself :D
God I love cooking *drool*

Nandos and the Perri Perri

I noticed Nandos in New Zealand recently as well.

The Peri Peri sauce was very popular when I was in S. Africa a few years ago as well. You can get it at Save - On.

Get the extra hot, it's one of the hottest dishes that I can buy here in Canada.
My lips burn for hours.

Maybe I'll eat there and then eat at Lisa's on Lougheed. That way there will be two sets of lips burning for hours!

I agree, Nando's has awesome chicken....it's just expensive.
...one thing that you can do is what i did, go to z95.3's website, the contests, they have a weekend warmup, one company each week gets a free lunch. they call you about a week in advance if you win, ask you how many people, and bring over the food on a thursday. i told them we had 18 people, we actually only had 10....bwahahahaha......but damn, it was yummy.

Quick tip... Don't drink cola with your meal.. It 'tricks' your brain into thinking you're not full, so you end up eating/wanting more that way!

I work over on the North Shore. Every once in a while when the Sales Super. is feeling generous the co. spurlges for lunch for all of us(70+). Everyone goes back to their cubicle and stuffs themselves with up to three pieces of chicken with the variety of sauces, rice, salad and bread. For the rest of the afternoon nothing gets done! Everyone walks around with this vacant look in their eyes. It's the carrot and the stick mentality with management when we are good boys and girls we get nando's.

They sell it at the restaurant too. It probably costs less at Save-On tho'. After all the complaints about the portions, I must admit the thing I like most about Nandos is that they have a kids/small appetites section on their menu. Sometimes I get busy and miss lunch, the next thing I know it's 2:30 or 3 in the afternoon and I am hungry. If I eat a full meal, I won't be ready for dinner until after nine. The smaller appetite portions are perfect to hold me over until 6 or 7. That being said, for what I pay for a small portion, I could get a full meal at swiss chalet. :(

I assume you mean the one by the Superstore on the corner of Westwood. I do often pick food up from there as I live close by and have found it adequate although my hoop would beg to differ!

I used to go to Nando's on Scott Road

But, each and every time, cold fries..or cold chicken

So, they have lost my business

Tis a shame, so it is
That particular one is under new management. That's not the one I usually go to, but I knew the owner from a diff. Nandos that provided top notch service and he has taken over. (I rate them in my phone when I visit the various branches). I complained to head office about the Scott Rd one when I was there meeting somebody for business... Nandos Canada gave me a free chicken and the new management has taken over... no problems since. I keep them in check. ;)
