I fucking hate it when SP's change their names.

Usually (but not always) it's because they provide shitty service. It is the absolute worst when you book with someone you think is new and it turns out to be some WOT you've seen before.

It's happened to me a couple of times.
Once, I stayed and the session was so-so.
The other time I just said no way and walked.

Anyone else fallen into the same trap?

I have a couple of times. But I got lucky on both. They were both great ladies who had raised their rates with their name change who I hadn't seen in several months. Both offered me the previous rate after we met. I tipped them difference. But I can understand your pain if it works out the other way.

Once this almost happened, but I recognized her cigarette voice.

Depends...does the name change come with picture/rate/location change. Then yeah, probably a scam.

Sometimes ladies in this business like to consider themselves "chameleons". I have known one girl who had their top layer of hair dyed blonde, with brown on the bottom and red streaks. This way, they could go as a blonde/brunette/redhead (in their minds).

What I don't get are ladies who change their name because of a stalker or someone they are trying to get away from.

If I have never seen them and recognize their previous identity surely so will someone who knows them well.

While it is true that there are plenty of dodgy reasons why a lady would change her name, there are also some legitimate ones. I think most of the really problematic women just use pre pay phones and change their number every few weeks. That coupled with stolen photos and a new name.

For other ladies, it can be completely innocent, or even positive. It can be a form of rebranding - especially if the lady is now offering different services or a different price point. If a lady has used the same name/number/website for a long time, and then decides to offer something different - which would be appealing to a new demographic - keeping the same name could be problematic because gentlemen will just skip by her profile with the assumption that she is still offering the same as before. A new name allows for a fresh start. It allows a companion to recreate her image and business (hopefully in a positive way), so that she is more accurately describing who she presently is.

As for stalkers, family or other discretionary issues, a name change, even with the same photos may be enough to create a separation. It depends on how thoroughly somebody is looking. Some people don't use forums, and simply google names.

i agree... sorta. but the opposite approach would be to keep the name, re-brand her service and price point, and let the inevitable reviewers do what they do best. statements like, 'good ole xxxx used to be kinda low service, but i saw some new pics in her ad the other night and decided to pay her a visit, and man has she changed for the better! i left completely satisfied. repeat - already have. recommend - wholeheartedly'

instead of 'anybody got any information on yyyy? nice pics but no reviews'

just sayin' :)

Ohhh...so this explains when a "new" lady pops up with a whole bunch of stellar reviews all of a sudden?

I have seen a few who had one name and then for some unexplained reason they would fall off the grid for a while.

Could have been they had a BF and chose not to work?
Could have been they were previously "handled" and then became Independent?
Could have been they wanted to reinvent their SP persona and come in at a higher price point?
Could have been they received mixed reviews and wanted to start with a clean record?
Could have been they retired and just wanted to return offering limited services and didn't want her previous clients expecting FS etc.

The ones I notice on some of the other ad sites without a name and I recognize their 5 - 6 year old pics when they were in shape, looked tanned and it bears no resemblance to their current looks etc. The pics are them alright but clearly a B&S.

If you delve deep in the histories here you will see several SP's have gone through sometimes as many as four name changes throughout their careers.

The ones I'm referring to are the ones who change names, pics, numbers. Sometimes they are the same location - other times they change location.

The other weird one is the Asian ads. I ignore them now because of all the fakery, but every so often I would encounter a gem, she'd leave and then come back with a new name and there's no way to know it was someone you'd like to see unless a bro lets you know it was so and so with a new name. That's dumb marketing if a girl has built up a following.

Another following will always start. The phone will still ring.
