My Thoughts On the Calgary Street Scene

Hi all. Here's another crack at a post.

I took a drive to check out the street scene last night after midnight. Had the urge, but all the MP's had closed for the night.

The track around Center Street was disappointing as usual. Not many ladies to begin with, and most of the ones that were there were either not what I would term overly attractive (IMHO), or the crackwhore type. And what is with all of the guys hanging around on the streets and riding around on bikes in the area? Don't know if they are dealers, pimps, LE, or what, but seeing a group of ummmm.... unsavoury fellas watching me as I drive by sure is enough to make me NOT want to stop my car.

I usually don’t even bother with the tracks along 17th Ave north or the one on the east side of McLeod trail in Vic Park, as the ladies there are definitely not the high or even medium track types usually.

That left me with good ol’ 3rd Ave. By far the best-looking SW were found there, not to mention the greatest number of ladies in general. In particular the ladies at the east and west ends were the best. First I talked to one (didn’t get her name) that was around 5’9” with nice black boots, a long tight dress, black jacket and her medium length blond hair in two pony tails. A definite looker for sure! Asked about her rules and proceeded to find out that a good time with her was worth a lot more than I was expecting. Unfortunate to say the least.

At the other (east) side of 3rd was one of the most stunning ladies I have ever seen. With tall boots about 5’7”, a gorgeous face with glasses (usually not a huge turn on but she wore them very well), long brown hair, and a butt that made me take a double (and triple) take in her tight blue pants. Don’t know her name either, but she had a slight French accent that was very seductive. I knew she was all business, but she was very friendly and tried to make me feel as comfortable a possible. Even when I found out that I wouldn’t be using her services, as she also had a vastly different idea on pay structures than me, she was quite pleasant and polite (which is something to be said for her considering most of the SW out there these days).

One thing that I have to give the ladies I talked to credit for though is their “safe” attitudes when it comes to discussions. I suppose this is due to the ever-increasing LE pressure, but knowing that a lady is trying to be safe is nice.

So why are ladies so expensive now? I know 3rd has traditionally been the “high track”, but the prices now are ridiculous! I don’t remember what thread it was for sure (apologies), but somebody made an interesting comment that pricing was all due to the supply and demand theory. I’m not a business major, but this seems to make sense. Without getting into a discussion as to whether or not this means that more women should become SP’s, and all of the associated implications, let me just say that it would be nice to have better prices and even more selection than at the present time in Calgary. And this goes for escorts, SW, and MP. Now before I get a bunch of hate mail accusing me of not appreciating the talent already in Calgary let me say that I have had, and will likely have many more, excellent experiences with the SP’s available in Calgary. However after reading posts by people from B.C. and Ontario, I have to say that I am a little jealous. So like just about everyone else, I have to accept the situation in Calgary for what it is (which to tell you the truth isn’t difficult at all most of the time!).

Perhaps I am getting nostalgic for the not too distant past when I could find plenty of good looking ladies (SW) that were (seemed) cleaner and a lot less expensive than now, and I think that there may still be some out there if I just look long enough. Pretty discouraging now though! I think I will save my money, take some of the advice on these boards, and try my luck with MP’s and escorts instead of SW from now on.

Hope this post wasn’t too long, but once I got up onto my soapbox the rant just started flowing. I should get off now though as I seem to be teetering, and I just might fall if I’m not careful.

Good post chooch. I agree. The good old days of the mid to late 80s/early 90s were something else for the street scene - lots of lookers, lots of mileage and very reasonable prices. I remember the first bj I got down there was a bbbj for $50 from a gal who would give Tori Wells a run for her money in the looks department.

In my experience, the problem with the street scene is that it is populated by loads of very dangerous women who are more interested in ripping us off than in servicing us. Theirs is a pretty bleak existence I would think and it's my view that the nastiness of the streets, the pimps, LE and all the crap that goes on down there are the reasons for the high prices.h

Friday night I saw that brunette you described when driving home and thought "Wow. What a babe."

But the prices are ridiculous. I suspect that they're hoping for horny drunk rig pigs coming from the Maid, or maybe rich salesmen in the nearby hotels.

Nice eye candy, but I'm not paying $3-$400 for some mediocre service in the Cecil.

Everyone is right. The "hightrack" in YYC is to expensive . Probably the most expensive in the country but like mentioned supply and demand dictate cost. LE has a constant eye on every area (high,mid,and low). I have a friend that lives a couple blocks from low track in forest lawn and from all the info I have gathered you can get 50/50 for around a red. I would guess that the quality of lady and service would be very low ( duh..low track)

Also a question, a few years back I know there used to be a low/mid track between fort calgary and the king eddy. I haven't been around that area in the evening in a long time. Is it still in use or did the hammer come down. If it is in use has anyone sampled the productlately?

I agree Captain.

Everything seems so promising at first with the "Do you have $100 to spend?" line. Then comes the "Well, that's just for basic service, but you'll still have a good time, trust me" line. Not to mention all the hidden costs like, "Sure I have a room, but it's at a hotel and it will cost ($20-40 dollars depending on the lady) extra." No thanks. Like you said, 3$$-4$$ (plus room fee at a dodgy hotel) is waaaay too much to spend for what is offered in return.

Even though the one with the brown hair was damn hot.....

The key to the calgary street scene is patience...all the regular high end girls either formed a union or are pretty strictly controlled by someone. The only way to find some good action at a reasonable price is to luck out and find a girl just passing through town, or one who's just looking for some quick cash.

I did a "boy was I stupid" post about 2 months ago and learned the hard way on the street pricing. Just to summarize, I got a "looker", ended up forking over 6 browns for "full service" which was massage, dance, and service. I got a useless massage, she couldn't dance, and the service had so many restrictions that, well, the whole experience is keeping me with the regular providers on the scene (one of the restrictions was "no kissing - ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!....oh yeah, and no touching here..., or here,..... or here....and certainly not THERE!!) I was a complete sucker for the pretty face - unfortunately, that was it, nothing else.

I learned my lesson, hope you learn yours a little better (and cheaper!!)

My final call? Save up and go to Victoria twice a year. It's worth it!!

If the costs and problems posted are true. I believe that they probably are, then why do people including myself continue to look to the street. Also I found it funny that a "union" was mentioned. I've never heard of a pimp slapping his girls around and threatening to kill them called a union before. Hey, whatever, they chose to walk the street they can deal with it.

The girls on the street are most intriguing. They pull at my inner being--and I get a free look first. However, my experience is that only one out of 10 SWs is worth the effort. I have "lost" a lot of money on the street. Agency and Independent SPs have a far great return on investment for me.
