Apparently a few people took exception to my last signature that stated where you were located, which IP you used, which operating system and browser you were using.

I assure all of you that when you scrolled past my posts ONLY you could see the details. It's just a widget that makes one think when you are on the Internet.

I could not see your location, your IP, your OS or your browser.

I was purely having a bit of fun with the Perbites and I immediately removed it when requested to do so.

No harm No Foul and In this post C36 it's a relief people are vigilant about their privacy. :nod: :thumb:

Yeah, it perturbed me briefly, but then looking into it I realized it was probably only me who could see the info.
But, it did get one thinking about who else might be able to see my viewing habits...

You'd be amazed what is stored on your computer. Windows logs almost everything. I'm looking into moving to an alternative O/S.
I've used PrivaZer.exe and shellbag_analyzer_cleaner.exe and have found links in the O/S to very old files (C:\Users\BusinessFiles\FileName.doc) that were overwritten long ago (I don't just delete). Didn't contain any info about the file, but the file name was of a customer.

CrapCleaner works for internet activity etc., but I use the ones above.

Disclaimer: The use of any program to overwrite files may damage your system. Use it at your own risk.

I agree...I am not a big fan of it after looking at it and it stated where my ISP was from.

My view is that it should be removed.
