"CallRecorder". I've tried many of them for my Note, and this is the only one that works faithfully all the time. Other Android phones have success with other call recording apps because each device is different, so you'll need to do some trial and error. Rooting your phone can go a long way to making it a success.
There have been so many times that being able to hear the conversation again has saved me from bad situations of all sorts. I can't live without this app.

Also "GrooveIP" - great app that attaches to Google Voice, allowing me to have a free U.S. phone number and make free phone calls wherever I am in North America, and also to receive calls on that U.S. phone number.

"Assistant" - I just love being able to say - "Navigate to the nearest ATM", and voila - up pops navigation and takes me there. Other questions it answers easily are: "Where's the nearest Indian restaurants?", "What are the border wait times?", etc. Fantastic while driving.

Excellent thread! I've thought about starting a thread for android apps suggestions many times - glad someone else did it! Lol

These two are great and I use them all the time! Once you've created an account you can access/sync from your mobile or any computer:

- Pocket (formerly read it later) is great http://getpocket.com/blog/

- Inkpad notepad
http://www.inkpadnotepad.com/

If you read books on your phone, which I do a lot, the following readers:

- Amazon kindle (mobi, pdf)
- fbreader (epub)
- Adobe reader (PDF)
- Kobo - if you buy books from that website or chapters)

- OpenDrive Media
Player for Vancouver Library books (ebooks + audiobooks)

** Library links for anyone interested:
(not sure why but for some reason, there are two separate sites / collections)

http://downloads.bclibrary.ca/AFC4925E-C99E-4EAA-BA78-E4393E24B839/40/20/en/Default.htm

http://vpl.lib.overdrive.com/0EA71C97-E4EE-4DD9-982E-CFAFADB9D309/40/20/en/Default.htm

(You just need to set up your online library account at vpl.ca with your Vancouver public library card number, set up a password and you're good to go.)

You can borrow up to 5 ebooks or audiobooks from each of the above sites -so 10 total- and you can put a hold on books that are not available to receive an email notification when it is returned. You then have 3 days to login and claim it.)

Its awesome, I use it all the time.

- Dolphin browser - HD or Mini
(Dolphin hd has way more features and downloadable addons)

- Youtube

- Facebook

- MP3 ringtone maker

- Astro file manager

- Google apps:
(play / drive / books / calendar / gtasks / maps)

- Go keyboard

- WhatsApp

- Bloglovin

(Great if you ever lose your phone!!)

- SMS backup & restore

- Speed Test

- Advanced Task killer

- AVG anti virus

- Call blocker
(create an account to backup contacts online and set up white/black lists to block or allow certain callers and/or SMS.)

Camera & photo editing / sharing: (Still trying out some different ones but so far, have liked these the best)

- PicsArt

- Pixlr-o-matic

- PicsPlay

Cheesy games i like to play:
(some of them are similar, all of them are free)

- Doodle snake

- Bricknoid
- ArkanoidX

- Bricks breakerS
- Break the bricks

- Bubble blast (Bubble blast 2 or any other similar...)

- Bubble birds (Or another one of the endless bubble shoot type games, like Bubble shooter, Space bubbles, etc..)

If you travel for business Flighttrack is excellent with up to the minute changes to schedules, gate changes etc.

Tracking shipments Package Tracker Pro is perfect with all courier companies plus USPS and Canada Post.

PayPal.

Quick Office Pro is a must for pdf's etc.

Handcent SMS is the best I have used. Great smilies, uploading full BW pics and sending a URL to the recipient to view in full resolution. Also has a privacy mode if you need to keep some stuff very private ;)

How the heck did you get google voice? I tried login onto the mobile link on my phone and by the time it redirects to the playstore, it just stays it doesn't exist. Thought it was US network only maybe?

can put pictures videos in there you dont want ppl to see
the best feature of this is putting contacts in there so any exchanged txt will be stored in there rather then your normal txt
