Sept 19 2007 was a bad morning. A phone call from an SP called Jessica told about Honey being murdered in Burnaby at her apartment on Grange Street. Honey and I had been friends for about six years and shared a few adventures. What brought this event to mind was a picture I just saw advertising a trip to Texas and there was the Riverwalk that honey and I had visited. San Antonio it was and we went through the Alamo too.

Her story is familiar to a lot of the older group here. And it can still be googled so I won't go on. Honey had a family her but came from Nova Scotia where she was finally buried.

Lot of good memories

I really thank you for remembering her. So many people think some are throw away and disposable. Honey was taken too soon, and I appreciate you remembering her.

Sorry for your loss newatit.

Agree with your sentiments on the matter Meaghan. No life is trivial.

Rest easy Honey.

A dear and trusted friend of mine told me about her awhile ago, so I googled her and researched her and the circumstances surrounding her death on Perb. I was actually living in the same area as her at the time. So so so fucking sad and heartbreaking. A senseless death....

RIP Honey ??

Just a reminder to all members of the risks that SPs have to take, everyday. I do hope that you girls have adequate protection.

Take care and thank you for being in the profession. You really do make life more bearable for many of us. :thumb:

If I remember correctly, her murderer was supposedly her boyfriend. It was a domestic violence situation, and not directly related to her profession.

I knew Honey. I had the pleasure of seeing her a few times and she was a lovely woman, very genuine and a beautiful person. So sad. I didn't know she was from Nova Scotia. RIP sweet Honey.
