But as long as poverty and social injustice exists there will always be those misguided people who turn to violence as a means of bringing attention to there cause.

I was amazed nobody had posted a thread about the terror in Mumbai on the day it began.

Poverty and social injustice are maintained by violence every day. The violence of the oppressed is a reaction to the much greater violence and greed of the oppressors who will never give up their power and command of the world's resources willingly.

After this attack I also fear for freedon and democarcy in India. Remember after 911, the authorities in there attempt to "protect" us ended up turing our country Canada and USA into paranoid and vengeful society where the civil rights of certain people were grossly violated. Remeber Maher Arar.

The Indians have also captured one of the attackers and I fear he is most likely also being tortured.

Worse we are now stuck in a war againts "terror" in Afganistan and I'm afraid there will be no end until we pull out.

Also look at all the civil rights Americans and Candians have lost since 911. We have the goverment spying on its own population and absolutely rediculous levels of "security" at airports and borders. I'm afraid with this attack India will also fall victim to fear and paranoia to the point where they will lose many civil rights its population have enjoyed for decades.

If it's so bad here maybe you should move in with one of your left-wing pals like Chavez or Castro. Lots of human rights and freedoms in Venezuela or Cuba.
