If Supernova plays it safe, Magni will win.
If not, Lukas will win.
Magni is the best male-Dilana is the best female.

I still say Lukas is too glam to front the likes of Lee-Newsted-Clarke.

Lukas has the kind of face I would never get tired of slapping. I would also like to beat his attitude out of him with a lead pipe. His performance the other night of an *ugh* Nickleback song sealed it for me. If he wins then Supernova will be guaranteed of only putting out one album. I also cannot see a woman fronting a heavy rock band with these characters. As well as Dilana is doing (although limited) it would be a mistake to choose her. Tommy Lee would have his 14" schlong in her mouth at the first jam session. Can't work. I agree that Magni has consistently been the best (I haven't seen all episodes) but he doesn't really have the look. I thought that was one of the biggest things working against Marty last season. Patrice, Toby, Storm should be the next to go. I find myself caring a lot less this time around though.

After last nite-Ryan for the encore of his original, man he just totally upped the ante. I think Lucas go bye-bye tonite. He might fit better for the upcoming Rockstar:QUEEN a few seasons away.

I don't think it'll be Lukas leaving tonight. Probably going to be Patrice although I'd like to see Storm go. Storm sounded just ok last night, but man was she boring to watch. Two walks up and down the catwalk plus the crazy eye routine doesn't add up to a compelling performance. I also didn't like how she was going on and on about how difficult her song was and how she was the only one that could pull it off... Bullsh*t! Magni, Toby and Ryan would have killed that song and they would have put on some kind of a stage show.

Ryan definitely stepped it up a notch. Great original song, but I didn't like that he threw his guitar right after Dave Navarro asked for someone to do it... too predicable, plus he only tossed it and didn't give it the Pete Townsend smash... if you're not going to do it right, don't bother doing it at all.

I thought Dilana was very ordinary. I thought her vocals were drowned out by the backing music a few times and I didn't think she sung with any passion, which was unusual for her. She sounds like the next coming of Stevie Nicks.

I thought Lukas was just ok and I'm glad Gilby called him on turning his back to the audience so many times... again.

I still liked Magni the best although I thought his song choice didn't give him the chance to showcase his singing ability, although it did showcase his ability to scream.

Patrice and Toby can go home this week.

She is going in the wrong direction for me too and get rid of those brutal fake eyelashes (she desperately needs a stylelist). Add those cheesy breathing sounds in the beginning and the all too predictable "I am watching you" hand signals, you can almost hear Sting crying in the background.

Yah. Then she can look as good as all the other rockers out there.

Those breathing sounds were a good move IMO. She had the task of following a rocker with a rather mellow tune, and the breathing thing at the beginning helped set the tone for the song. It helped slow down the crowd and put 'em in the mood.

As for tonite, my moolah is on Patrice to hit the dusty trail.

You have to take the format of the show into account when making your predictions, Lucas isn't in danger of going any time soon. He and Dilana haven't even had to stand up during the elimination shows so they haven't even been close to the bottom 3. Even if the band doesn't think he would fit in they can't send him home until he lands in the bottom 3. He seems to have enough fan support to carry him to the final 3 then the band can decide his fate.

Storm has at least 2 more weeks to go and probably more. She hasn't landed in the bottom 3 yet even though she has been close the last 2 weeks. Supernova doesn't usually send people home the first time they land in the bottom 3. Unless she somehow ends up in the bottom 3 with Lucas and Dilana next week she'll stick around.

Dilana's starting to show some chinks in her armour. She should keep her mouth shut when she isn't singing or she could find herself in the bottom 3. Trashing her fellow contestants could end up hurting her if the fans start to think she's a nasty bitch they may turn on her. If she keeps showing her catty side the band might decide she's a Diva and decide they don't want the headaches.

The only reason.......

Storm is still around is that at least 2 of the three lads want to fuck her brains out.

I think it may be the other way around. When they had all the singers lined up in order of height, Dilana was at the dwarf end and Storm was at the Amazon end with the other guys and Patrice somewhere in between.

As much as people criticize this and the prior Rockstar format, it sure beats the hell out of the Idol format. I've already boycotted American Idol and the Canadian Idol show is almost there.

Brian Macaroni's lucky sperm is pretty annoying and the whole thing is a popularity contest. If you're a young guy that can make a noise, then all the little teeny bopper girls get on their phones and plug the lines. Talent has very little to do with it.

Ashley would have been perfect to do a Martina McBride song and she had great pipes. Eva is another great singer but Ashley is already out and Eva was in the bottom 2. One of the geeks will once again take it.

BTW, the judges are nauseating as well.

M

P.S. Sorry for straying from the Rockstar topic but they're kinda along the same line.

Tonight's show was kickass.

I'm not really a big rock fan but Ryan, Toby and Delana were great. Ryan is great on the piano but his theatrics and singing were inspired. Toby had the perfect song and he did what I've been waiting for (he got audience members to join him onstage). Delana left her baggage behind and did a great job. She looks and sounds the part - unless she does self-destruct for real, it's hers for the taking.

Storm was pretty good and for once didn't stumble around like a drunken chicken. While I think Lukas is an interesting character and he has had some good performances on previous shows, I wasn't blown away by his performance tonight. Magni who has been pretty solid up until now was nothing special.

My picks for the bottom three are: Lukas, Magni & Storm. Lukas and Magni have potential. This was the first time I've been satisfied with Storm but it's too little too late. It's time for her to say goodbye.

I felt Storm gave her most captivating performance yet and I actually have thought that she would be next to go. Her flirting with the band is getting old for me and I think she will be next tonight to get the Tommyhawk.

I was surprised to see Lukas in the early bottom three. I am sort of hoping that he makes it. Delanna lost me with the pouty spoiled child antics. That being said, she is a great entertainer and who among the performing world isn't an emotional basketcase like she is?

Storm Large

Lasts night's show had some great performances, hard to say who should lead the band. I honestly can't see them taking a woman, but who knows. I love Storm, she reminds me of someone very special to me, in many ways. I think our Canadian boy is out though.

I tend to agree about Lukas being gone. He is a great performer but I just don't see him fitting with the band and they just won't allow Canadians to win 2 years in a row.

Storm, Lukas and Dilana all have to go and quick! Lukas is an arrogant prick whose performances have been getting weaker as the competition goes on. Storm is way too dramatic and doesn't have a lot of stage presence. I did have some respect for Dilana's talent (although her range is somewhat limited) but her antics this past week were embarassing and her perfomances are also lacking. Ryan and Magni are still my favorites. I think Toby has also improved a lot and will stick around for a few more weeks.

If Toby, Ryan, or Magni end up in the bottom 3 tonight that's most likely who is going home since they have all been in the bottom 3 multiple times. I liked Toby's performance last night but overall I think he is the weakest of the 3. I didn't like Ryan's performance last night and find that his theatrics look kind of akward. I would be completely shocked if Lukas or Dilana got the boot tonight even if they land in the bottom 3, SuperNova really seems to like both of them. I would be less shocked if Storm got the boot as SN has been more critical of some of her performances, but I still think she will get a pass for one week as this would be her first time in the bottom 3.
