mp's and sp's with no e-mail

this kinda annoys me and I'm just wondering If I'm alone

seems like only a few of the mps in town have an actual e-mail contact ....

I'm new to Edmonton and I've only been to Temptations so far but coincidentally they dont have that problem (but its probly part of the reason why I chose them over other mp's) ... where I'm also still pretty new to this hobby I guess I just found it alot easier to ask basic questions by e-mail before I decided if I really wanted to go to the studio.... hell, with temptations I actually chatted with some of the girls on my laptop on msn 20 mins before I saw them in the studio.... good on them.

but it also just seems like common sense that a client would rather ask awkward (or inappropriate for phone conversation with a stranger) questions by e-mail rather than over the phone.... is it just me or is it just alot more comfortable to send an annoymous e-mail to ask a question from an sp or mp...... it kinda leaves me trying to find out what an sp or a mp offers by hearsay and trolling through old posts on this forum... most of the info is outdated.

I'm not singling any mp's out here (just most of them) but - I dont know it just kinda annoys me that they even have a website if they dont have an e-mail address .... where is the harm in it?

am I seriously the only one?

I like to talk to them in person, less misunderstandings that way.

It is nice when they have e-mails to help with booking appointments and making special requests. But you have to remember the amount of time it takes for them to respond to all the e-mails they get. Personally I think there is a much better use of their time.

I'll answer this for myself - I stopped email/pm bookings because I've got someone who tries to book me threw this avenue. If that person had their way, I would be booked every night of the week, without actually having a REAL visitor. Therefore about a year ago I started an auto reply on my email address to direct my callers to call me if I've never met them prior. Once I've talked to them on the phone in person, we can continue with email contact.

It might be the same reason for others ~shurgs~

Yup, I agree with DQ guy, and HB40. If you have a general question, it can probably be answered on PERB. If you have a more personal question or don't want to ask on PERB, just ask the girl in the studio once you are behind closed doors.

It is not like they will be offended and they have probably had that same question asked before. Just remember to be polite when you ask the question is all.

its so much easier and private to ask the sp on her e-mail than over a forum board ... its also quicker and more reliable

and It really covers any question I might have regardless....

an MP would get hundreds of emails a day if they had an email address and probably only 3 or 4 bookings. REALLY not worth their time. Even as an indy more than half of the emails I get are things that are on my website. It REALLY annoys me when people do not read my website as everything is there and quite clear. It is my first filter actually. If a client can not take the time to research who I am and actually read my website they are not a good match for me. I even have a mobile version so there is no excuse for blackberry users. If there is a language barrier I am more lenient though...

BUT I still do my bookings through email because for me I find the phone a much bigger waste of time. Even with saying I prefer email contact and even with my voicemail message saying to please email me if possible, I still get 4 or so voicemails a day and a half dozen callers that do not leave a message and I have only ever made 2 or 3 bookings through the phone. I hate that I have to have a phone, if it were up to me I wouldn't at all! But obviously clients need to be able to reach me if there is a problem last minute, etc. I tried not publishing my phone number but that didn't work well because I had a client who lost his phone and couldn't find me lol

The most important thing for a SP to possess is an up todate webpage...with some way of determineing restrictions. As an out of town person with limited time in the city it is nice to know what your getting into

However, one thing that really gets frustrating, is the people who e-mail you daily with just conversations, and not just for questions and/or booking requests. It takes up soooo much time to respond to these types of e-mails with no reimbursement for the extra time needed.

Haha Not you silly - I don't mind a brief chat based e-mail here and there. You don't e-mail me mad long e-mails daily that take me 20 minutes to read. I enjoy your messages
