When/if you get them, do you just pay and get it over with, or do you dispute them ? What is your success rate if you do dispute them ?

I dispute every ticket I get, which isn't that many, two over the past two years. I beat both of them, one on the evidence, the other by way of Constitutional Challenge.

In the past people tended to dispute a ticket and hope the cop didn't show up, but computers seemed to have put an end to scheduling problems. What I have found works just as well or better is to dispute the ticket with a view to having the clock run out on it. Courts are so backed up that you can get the tickets tossed under Section 24 ( 1 ) of the Charter, your right to trial within reasonable time under Section 11 ( b ).

Before anybody else says it, Hubba is a Moving Violation unto himself.:D

I dispute them all and have won them all except for the one where I forgot to go to court
As often as not the cop just doesn't show up. That being said, the same cop collects Skytrain tickets and does them all bunches at a time, so if you have a Skytrain ticket you're better off just paying it. Fortunately I've never had a Skytrain ticket. :)

Depends on where I am. I'd dispute up there, but down here there's a program where you pay $50 and watch a video and it's as if the ticket never happened. It's over in days and there's no court. To me, that's worth 50 bucks.
I wish it were like that here...I'd have saved myself a few bucks! :)
