Where can I get or rent moving boxes/ containers , I'm not going to liquor store again. Won't even fit them into any of my cars anyways. I need them to be delivered.

I checked out http://www.frogbox.com, looking into it using them if I can't find better idea.
Anybody used them? Any better recommendation out there before I commit ?

Thank you !!! :thumb:

U Haul has very sturdy boxes available to buy that you put together, so you can probably get a good sized stack in a car trunk unless it's a tiny car!
Or Staples. U-Haul, Staples and the UPS store all stock various sizes. The UPS store also sells those packing peanuts in two varieties, one variety you can use for balcony gardening after your move. You'll need one of those packing tape guns to assemble the boxes.

Try some of the local moving companies, they may even deliver

Home Depot has lots of boxes. They also have a special box for a flat screen TV.

I have a dozen bins identical to those frogboxes. Very sturdy, stackable, and they prevent crushing. Yeah, got them at Home Depot.

lower mainland.
All good suggestions.
I've invested (okay they were about $8 each) in blue rubbermaid boxes with lids. What I like about them is they are large enough, stack well, seal well enough to store anything outside in a garage without turning damp and soggy and last…well maybe not forever but close.

It's a $$ hit at first, but I think worth it. And it's forced me to cleanse some of the jun…er, stuff that i don't use, won't use and merely haul around from place to place.

Cardboard Bankers Boxes are the way to go. All the same size and they stack up perfectly inside a moving van. Personal Warehouse places sell them as well as all the Staples etc.

I highly recommend this solution as well, stacking to the same height because all the boxes are uniform really pays off plus they have the handles build in

after use you can unfold them back into a flat profile and store them for next use

Are these the boxes with the lid go on them separately, they are not folded into the box what I mean. Also comes with the handle cut out, so you can lift it easily??

I was looking for these ones for my tax papers. They have it at staples , I'm guessing personal warehouse places would be cheaper.
Thank you. This will be the best idea too for the most part. I still need some tote boxes for the heavy items. I guess I check it at Home Depot for that.
You

You guys are great, taking off my thinking from 100 ways, now I'm down to 99. Thank you !!!!

on yer ignore list
any of the storage places sell boxes, tape, tape dispensers, plastic wrap for bed mattresses, etc etc. make sure you buy all your boxes in the 'small' size because the medium and large size get so heavy when you fill them that it will take two firemen to lift and carry them (i guess that could be a good thing though ;) )

Oh my. It's not the boxes I thought she meant. Here I was standing at attention, ready to step forward to volunteer to help move some boxes.

:) Wouldn't that be FILL her box? I remember that as being quite fun, back in her "pinch my ass" days.

Used Frogbox for my last move. Good service. Just make sure you have help to actually move or it is tough work.

Another option is BungoBox. Know someone who works for them but can't comment on their service.

Note to myself to call them tomorrow, I will need a lot of boxes. Those good filing boxes from staples are super expensive,
A wonderful perb member gave me a few but nearly not enough for my junks.

My realtor will bless me with some too.

Anybody can donate me boxes in this few weeks I would be very happy.
This move came sooner then I was expected.

Thank you :))))

Agreed, those filing boxes ARE expensive but those aren't what people are referring to. Check out Budget, UHaul, any self storage place, they all have a wide variety of boxes for pretty reasonable prices (couple of $ each for medium size). The exception are actual wardrobe boxes where you can put in clothes on hangers....

The packing boxes at Staples are competitive with the UPS Store and U Haul, don't know about Home Depot, never used their boxes

25 12X12X18 Boxes $28.26 http://www.staples.ca/en/Corrugated-Boxes-18-x-12-x-12-25-Bundle/product_694095_2-CA_1_20001
20 18X18X18 Boxes $45.40 http://www.staples.ca/en/Corrugated-Boxes-18-x-18-x-18-20-Bundle/product_694140_2-CA_1_20001
10 24X24X24 Boxes $45.59 http://www.staples.ca/en/Corrugated-Boxes-24-x-24-x-24-10-Bundle/product_694394_2-CA_1_20001

U-Haul's box page is here, they have boxes for everything https://www.uhaul.com/MovingSupplies/Boxes/

They had a unique box for flat screen tv's. It has a base with foam padding and is adjustable to fit different size screens. Also has a foam plastic bag to wrap the tv in.
We moved a 55 inch and a 42 inch, not a scratch.
Helped move a friend's mom move and her plasma tv got broken in the truck, something leaned against it and cracked the screen. I bought her a new one but would rather it hadn't happened....
