That wasn't my understanding of how they explained it. Here is what I understood (of course I could be wrong). First they NEED at least 2/3rds of the Senate to convict. If that does not happen then they cannot move on to the vote for office ineligibility.
Everybody hates him but they don’t realize how good he was for the US economy, look at Biden, destroyed thousands of jobs getting rid of the pipeline what a joke
LOL, he's the only US President who ended his term with 3,000,000 less jobs and with 400,000 dead Americans from COVID on his watch. Stop drinking the kool aid.

Even before Covid he wasn't doing as well as Obama, and Obama was far from the best in job creation. Look it up, the numbers are out there. In terms of the economy before Covid, Trump was doing O.K. ...i.e. he was average I will give him that.

First to know about the economy, Trump didn't affect the overall trends, which he would of have to, to get America Great Again. The trends are :
1. Cheap Labour
2. Hide profits by having your HQ in another country, even though it started out as an American Company (if your on the stock exchange your HQ should be in the states). Saves on taxes. Example Google and Facebook. Looking up these companies on google you find the HQ in California, but for tax reason everything is run out of Ireland.
3. Hidden companies with numbers, no person listed as the owner to be responsible for the company. This provides profit hiding, and environmental avoidance of rules.
It is pretty well known that the Big Companies don't pay their fair share of taxes to the state or federal taxes. In the past alot of American mining companies have let toxic messes behind after they mined everything they could and left the ownership of the mine under Hidden companies, so that no money could be reclaimed by the state for cleaning up the toxic waste sites.
Profits is what matters.
Problem is today and future generations have to live on this planet.
4. Wall street is untouchable.

His offences are not minor......The man is not a Diplomat, he is nothing but a wind bag billionaire that has always managed to get his way.
When he doesn’t, or is questioned by people who’s job it is to question the people in power, and their policies...he turns to belittling that person publicly, because he can’t handle someone else having an opinion, or asking questions about his actions.
Those traits, and a few others, are narcissistic in nature......he does not tell it like it is, he tells people how they should think his way, and he is incapable of considering another point of view.
He believes this is leadership, and the actions of a strong mind, when in fact it is the actions of a five year old that has never had to consider being told “ No”....if the general public opinion of him is negative, he cannot turn the attention towards himself, without bringing on more negativity. This drives narcissists insane, and starts the downward spiral of their mental state, starting a chain of pathological lies to preserve the image of how they wish to be perceived....at the same time making it always about themselves, as nobody else really does matter, not even family.
It’s really very simple....he was in over his head, but could never consider that thought.
He is a pathological liar and narcissist ,that is incapable of diplomacy......but so are half the people that voted him in.
