Was in Montreal yesterday for a bit, coming back there from some time in my hometown. A family member passed away.

Looked around a bit for a MP, but to no avail, and I was short on time. Was staying with a friend and wasn't going to call an escort to his place lol.

None of the MPs there seem to have signs saying they are anything other than legitimate therapeutic places. Seemed odd.

Anyway, as usual, all of the ladies in this town looked like models. I went out to eat with relatives at Gibby's resto in old Montreal. So I'll review the resto.

L: 9 Amazing ambiance, being a former stables forever.
A: 10 Meal was absolutely perfect. Salad was spot on, filet mignon was perfect.
S: 11 Waitress filled glasses and fawned over us constantly.

Service was $$$.20 for 4 with one bottle of wine and desert.
It's a shame Edmonton can't come close to having a place like this. We went on a Thursday night and it was packed. Reservations any day of the week, are a must.

Nice old buildings, character, good transit, culture.. and shopping like mad.
Got a certain someone a gift she'll like.

If you want to go on a culinary vacation and aren't staying with relatives, it could get more interesting.

Best Italian Restaurant in Montreal...

Da Giovanni

Map

It`s where the locals get their spahetti fix...(lwarning: line-ups are long but the food is good and inexpensive and servings are big).

BTW: Markl, before you go next time, check out https://merb.cc.

Thanks Kittie. I always remember and think that life is a continuous cycle.
We won't get out of it alive, so we should try to feel alive while we are here. :)

As for montreal, if I had a similar paying job there, I would move back in a heartbeat I think.

I personally have never bought pasta at a restaurant. Well, I'm lying, I did have this amazing Penne with a bunch of ingredients once.

Generally I prefer my own pasta to restaurant ones. Aside from that, I don't eat much pasta at all these days. I try to keep the bad carbs down.

Food is okay and is inexpensive, yes.. But Best italian restaurant? ?
You are joking, right?
He must be joking! Da Giovanni is to good Italian food as McDonald`s is to Hy`s.

Try Il Campari Centro or La Campagnolo or Lo Stivale D`Oro.

You're missing out on some good eats in Edmonton though.

Had the porterhouse at Lux, was good, but nothing compared really.

A good steak is a work of art, there just isn't much culinary art here.

I'm a decent cook in my own right, not fantastic, but I like my cooking. I am passionate about the food I eat. Great cooking is almost better than sex.

Certainly better than bad sex!

How exactly did you make this jump from pasta to steak in this discussion?
There's more tangents in this thread than my math classes from high school.

I might be in Montreal later this year and Jordan at Eleganza is on my to-do list. Hotel, strip club and SP recommendations are welcome.
