Is your Spanish strong? Do you look like a typical gringo "mark"? If the answer is No to the first and Yes to the second, you may want to thread carefully. Have you been to Panama City, Panama, Curacao, or Costa Rica? If you are looking for a Columbiana, you can readily find them there. Out of the three countries, Curacao is the safest, and the providers are mostly centralized at Campo Alegre.
I agree with monger99 - you need basic Spanish if you want to venture into the local scene in Medellin and Bogota. Some areas can be very unsafe too so you should be prepared. Internationalsexguide .info has up-to-date trip reports.
Well I just spent Mar. 16 to Apr. 2 in Colombia and I feel the safety warnings and need of Spanish is really overblown. I spent my first four days in Bogota and the rest of my time in Medellin. I have zero Spanish and never at any moment felt unsafe and probably had the best vacation I have ever had.
I’d skip Bogota altogether unless it’s cheaper to fly into there. Bogota is an ugly sprawling city and because of the altitude it can be quite chilly at night. Medellin is a beautiful city with a first world transit system and pretty much perfect temperatures. It’s why they call it the city of eternal spring. Getting around with Uber is excellent in both cities. Again I felt safe at all times. That being said I never went to the red light district of Bogota after reading some sketchy reports on it. I’m glad I saw Bogota, but after seeing Medellin I kicked myself for spending my first four days there.
Ok the girls. My God! I have never been to a place with so many beautiful women, it’ll blow your mind if you have never been before. I’ll be totally honest I never went there to solely monger, I enjoy exploring new places, sights, and sounds and all that, but I did partake of course!
Depending on things like your age, being in shape, outgoing personality, etc, you can do very well there without even paying for it. I used tinder and Colombian Cupid and met lots of girls that’s way. Just make sure your staying somewhere that guests are allowed. I used an AirBnB, so it was no issues, but many hotels do not allow guests. I’d recommend staying in the Lleres Park/Poblado area of Medellin. There are lots of Airbnb available, great restaurants, bars, and shopping malls close by.
I’m trying to keep it short, if you’ve got any questions ask away. Don’t listen to the arm chair travellers who tell you stay away because it’s unsafe or you can’t get by without Spanish, have a sense of adventure and just go there and enjoy yourself. Set up some dates, have a smart phone with google translate and your good. If plan to go only the P4P route you’ll have no issues meeting like minded guys that’ll help you out. There was an American guy I met at my AirBnB(condos) who had a phone full of girls pics and their contact numbers he had met on previous trips that he freely shared. I will admit Spanish skills will greatly enhance your trip, but I’m proof you can get by there without. I had such a great time I’m planning to go back in the fall.

Medellin is the best city in the world for a mongering trip in my opinion. A first timer with no Spanish should stay at the Hotel M in the Poblado district. It is a gringo only hotel with chicas everywhere, around the pool, in the bar etc.
The important reason for staying there is the other guys. They will offer all the information you will need to navigate the city. There are lots of different venues to meet great looking girls. Facebook is the most popular way of contacting girls once you have learned the ropes.
Medellin is far safer than Mexico right now. They have cleaned up much of the crime in the city. You have to be smart though. Don't wear any bling or flash a lot of cash. Stay away from El Centro (down town) after dark.

I recently spent a week mongering in Medellin and it was amazing. If you dont speak Spanish (like me) stay at the Hotel M, as I did. The staff speak English and all guests are mongers. The girls there are freelancers and get screened by management before being let in so you can be assured that the girls are of legal age and will not try to rip you off. Rates are higher than the casas however tradeoff is worth it for peace of mind and lack of Spanish. Chicas at casas charge 50k to 100k COP an hour (C$20 to $40) but hit amd miss, and high volume. The M girls charge $150k to $200k COP an hour (C$60 to $80) however they are low volume and service is consistent as there is pressure from management to treat guests well. These girls do not want to risk being banned from the steady business at the M so you can truly relax and let your guard down. Also, the M has a pool, a bar and all the necessities for mongering (condoms, pills, pot, etc).
If you do wish to sample the casa talent, you will find mongers at the M who will happily let you tag along when they go. Many mongers stay at the M for the social element and play at the casas.
Most chicas are gorgeous and I found them to provide much better service than Thailand (I did Pattaya a few years back). I consistently hit 8s and 9s.
As Masterfull noted, dont go to El Centro (downtown) at night, at least not alone. Blend in (i.e. keep the bling at home and dress plain), download Googe Translate before you go and you will do fine. If you stick to the El Poblado or Laureales area, safety is not an issue.
I have friends who have done both Bogota and Medellin, and all prefer Medellin for both better weather (Bogota is high altitude so can get cold) and abundance of alent.
Strip clubs operate like brothels but I found service there mechanical. Experienced mongers find regular girls on facebook who want the extra cash but you will need to speak some Spanish and not recommended for a first trip.
Lastly, you will find supply and demand to be very much in your favour. Hotel M had 3 to 5 chicas for every monger at any given time (day and night) so you have a huge selection and chicas literally compete for your attention. And its not just Hotel M. Supply far outstrips demand any where you go in Medellin.
