Money Laundering in BC

Nighwhisperer: do you agree David Eby and NDP are trying to portray tax evasion as money laundering? They are targeting immigrants to increase vote base.

I think Tax Evasion should be punishable by death. But in my opinion it isn't money laundering.

You'd think, and yet proposed changes to laws would create a reverse onus which would allow the government to claim just that. They call it "unexplained wealth orders" wherein you have to prove it was legitimately acquired or they take it:

And they are proposing enacting that change in the name (albeit disingenuously) of combatting money laundering, not tax evasion.

That's an awful idea.

Human's are greatly capable of lying. So many people will die if something like this becomes reality so the illegal money launderers will tie up loose ends.

NDP gotta look beyond mail-order marijuana, prostitution rings or dial a dope operation. Even London Drugs, Staples are assisting Mainland Chinese evade tax or launder money: UNION PAY. We can call all Chinese money dirty and implement a modern-day head tax, i mean the Mainland Chinese do not believe in universal values anyways, there doesn't need to be any apologies 100 years down the road.

The only reason why BC is afloat is because of mainlander money. I'm all for it if I see benefits for myself down the road. If BigDick J. Pattison Sr. who lives in the west end is okay with taking their dirty cash for his property, then I am too (so long as it gets infused into our local economy).
