MLEG2 - Who is the Biggest LEGend in the history of PERB? - Week 1

Ok, I`ve made an executive decision and decided to bring Spaceghost back. He had both strong positive and strong negative feedback, thus making him interesting enough as a contender.

1. Hatrick (the flashlight poon-tang inspector)
2. Hitrack (7-11 coffee, a green, he`s king of the SW scene)
3. Hamster (crawling into an orifice near you)
4. Hipster Dufus (giving credence to the notion that a dufus can be hip)
5. Blowhard (nothing says it better than a smiley)
6. Vancouverman (the king of the lounge)
7. Howiemeeker (viagra to the rescue)
8. Hifisex (the reigning lowest reviews to posts ratio champ)
9. Squirrel (giving new meaning to the term "busting a nut")
10. Spaceghost (he came, he conquered, he disappeared into thin air)

The poll closes in 1 week. After 1 week, the 2 lowest vote getters will be eliminated. New polls will be created for 8, 6, 4, and then the final 2 to see just who IS the greatest legend of all time! If I`ve overlooked somebody and there is strong enough support, I may bring in a surprise candidate (or two?) later in the process.

You're quite entertaining Mav and I am sure if you stick around long enough you'll make it in the perb history book too.

Oooooooohhh... I think it`s time to add Annalise Lane and Vancouverman to the list of PERB romances we`d like to see come to fruition. This might make ~A~ jealous though... can`t wait for the cat fights... Annalise and ~A~ in a bra and panties match for the rights to Vancouverman`s balls.

Hey, with the way you're going, you may reach legend status soon too. You're the only one I know of that sees 5-6 girls a day. That alone is worthy of legend status if you can keep that up for 1 year... that is like 1500 girls in a year!

Actually, I was going to say that... not that I mean any offense... sometimes I can't tell whether you are writing sober or intoxicated on something... you say some pretty stupid things, but they are actually pretty damn funny in a "Lenny-esque" context. Sometimes I ask myself... is he that stupid or is he being sarcastic? The fact I can't always tell puts you in a class by yourself. Hopefully you take the fact I've inadvertently called you a goof as a compliment like only Lenny can (if that makes any sense)...

I second that motion. Trawler is so dedicated to the hobby he doesn't have time to get involved in the usual political discussions and ensuing flame wars in the lounge which is why you don't know him.

Oh no, have I boo booed? How embarassing. I quickly checked all the spelling. Except for capitals (eg. HowieMeeker instead of Howiemeeker and Hifisex instead of hifisex), I couldn't find anything wrong. I think I've gone blind. Please help. Thanks!

BTW, dufus is an acceptable alternate spelling for doofus . I believe that is the spelling used when viewing the American Psycho subtitles in the scene where Patrick Bateman calls Luis Caruthers the biggest dufus in the business.

You can say legend. LEGend is just for the purposes of searching. Whenever I want to add to one of my own threads that I know will be ongoing (for example the Big Brother 6 thread) and quickly buried (especially in the lounge) among other threads, I code everything in 4 letter capital letters so it's always the first thread to come up when I search it.

I didn't come up with a definite definition of legend... it's hard to define... but I'll take a stab at it.

Somebody whose contributions have a lasting impact on PERB? This can be in the form of reviews (especially on higher end more expensive SP's most people aren't willing to TOFTT on), entertaining writing style, bold fearless writing on a variety of topics, flame war wins (hifisex?), uniqueness in communication (eg. Blowhard smileys)... I dunno... there is no set definition.

I did exclude (for the time being) people whose posts have been deleted. One of the reasons I started this thread is because I'm relatively new and wanted to go back and read some of the posts of the "legends"... so it does me no good if their posts have been deleted. Furthermore, 175 posts by Sonny was not enough. I generally wanted people either with 1000 or more posts (or 500 really high quality posts) with at least 1 year on PERB. I made an exception with Hatrick because he was banned for a year... him and Hitrack constantly get mentioned as legends in the SW scene, so it was natural to include Hatrick. Plus, his flashlight inspection technique is unique enough to qualify him as a legend. If I had not retired and implemented my scale and tape measure gimmick on a weekly basis, and wrote 1 review a week for a year, I would have considered myself a legend.
