I can understand a lady doing this for any number of reasons but they all involve not having an SO. Just as I personally wouldn't poon if I had an SO.

I agree with you. As long as they are both ok with it. I myself am not sure if I could/would work if I had an SO/monogamous relationship. I'm not against it, just have never ran into that situation yet.
As far as clients having SOs though, I look at is as if there is just one thing that they aren't getting at home (like a good bj or whatever) then they are outsourcing for that service and it makes the marriage better. Hell of a lot better than going to the bar and picking up.

I feel very strongly about the fact that if you are with/committed to someone else, then certain things are reserved for them only, sex being one of them. I guess there's a differnece being a porn star vs. being an SP. Many porn starts are married, some to people in the business, some to people outside. I guess the key comes back to is whatever you're comfortable with. I've seen interviews with married PS's and SP's, and the disconnect between having sex and making love seems to be very real for them. Using certain parts of thier bodies to earn their living is just what they do, no different than a carpenter uses his hands or a singer thier voice... the one common thread seemed to be that they reserve some special act only for each other. Something as simple as kissing, or missionary position can delinieate for them the difference between work and home. But in all cases, both were open and honest about what they were doing, and were willing to stop / change if things got too weird.
