We have been battling the new criminalization of adult film in both the senate and parliament. pornhub had 100,000 problematic posts.... facebook self reported over 20 million images of sexual exploitation..... why are we battling pornhub? because it's political gold for MP's and senators..... not to mention the money raised by the "porn abolitionists" in their fight against porn... they are making millions!!!
porn is legal, creating porn is legal, viewing porn is legal..... the alarmist crap which is playing our in our government could result in facial recognition being used to access porn.... so, during a pandemic, when many exotic dancers and sex workers have turned to online sex work to ay the bills.... with no consideration for the impact on our lives or the ability to feed and house ourselves and our families... the government is playing russian roulette once again with sex worker safety....
these bills and "'studies" are a complete waste of tax payer money and are targeting sex workers via the conservative ant sex work zealots who some canadians felt it was a good idea to elect.... I am looking at you Peace River - Westlock..... Arnold Viersen is the worst..... so is Senatrice Milviille-Duschene....
so.... before we all jump on the band wagon and drink the "all porn is rape" koolaid.... consider who is making these assertions and whether those assertions have any credibility....
Pornhub have worked hard to address issues of exploitation and have worked in partnership with the RCMP to catch exploiters.... they are an ethical company and are trying their best to ensure people are safe using their platform.
