Vaudeville as a toddler. Great actor. Great entertainer. 200+ movies from the 1920s to 1960s.

Oscar winner for 1938's Boys Town.
Epic comedy in 1963's It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World.

Billy Crystal on Mickey Rooney: "He was a tremendous talent -- someone who was five feet tall, and everybody looked up to him."

In Your Wildest Dreams!
I remember him as Andy Hardy...not because I'm ancient. I grew up loving the movies, and I loved watching the movies my mother loved as a kid. National Velvet, Andy Hardy Goes to College, ("Hey gang! Let's put on a show! My folks have a barn we can use!"), Snow White & The Three Stooges*...(yes, really) and of course, That's Entertainment. Hearing that Mickey Rooney, the Kid, is gone, makes me feel like a part of my childhood died.
