the reporter even reported that this is who jordan is. so with that knowledge i am less shocked about his speech. had say gretzky made this speech then yah i would have been truly shocked.

your mom says hi.
the guy was incredible and single handedly brought basketball to the forefront of sports, no matter what country you were from. i remember as a young teen 3on3 and 2on2 tournaments all summer in canada, where it would have normally been street hockey.

we couldn't wait to go to school to talk to our friends about what michael jordan had done the night before. the man simply changed everything. he was the catalyst in the "sneaker wars" of the 90's. man i loved all my shoes over those years. to buy a share of nike in 1984 before the signing of jordan you would have paid 84 cents per share, in 1986 that same stock would now cost you $347.00.

nike acknowledged what mike had done for them be giving the guy his own wing of the company. now thats saying something.

i'm not sure if anyone is sports will come along again that can captivate the whole world like michael jordan did. as much as i love and respect wayne and as huge a fan i am of the nhl, wayne did not have world appeal and neither did the game of hockey.

put simply, basketball ruled world from the mid 80's til the late 90's and it was all because of michael.

having actually watched the speech just a few minutes ago, i didn't think that speech was that bad. i thought the speech was honest and heart felt and you got to see what made jordan one of the best. i guess you could interput the speech as trying to even old scores but i took it as even the greatest of all time in the NBA had to prove himself

Was interesting to get into MJ head and now know what he was thinking while he's dominating the game

never was a huge fan of jordan and besides it wasnt him that set the nba ablaze it was the magic vs bird fued that did. of the 4 major leagues in north america the nba is the one i dont care for at all. way too many spolied divas crying over the fact that they dont get millions of dollars a year, boohoo. yes i know most athletes are like that but it seems more and more its always nba players are crying.
