MIA: Lorena Bobbitt's anniversary

According to the Herald Sun (Australian paper), on Jun 23, 1993

Lorena Bobbitt of Prince William County, Virginia, cut off her husband John's penis. She was later acquitted of malicious wounding by reason of insanity; he was later acquitted of marital sexual assault and, with penis reattached, starred in porn movies.

Since I am a newbie here, i would like to understand why this important (or should I say impotent?) event was not celebrated on PERB. Is there some special way that perbites honour Ms. Bobbitt's achievement?

Is this something that is only to be celebrated privately? If so, I apologize for my ignorance and ask that the mods delete this posting.
