men's jewelry and fashion suggestion

I have recently taken an interest in men's leather bracelet, silver or copper or gold pendant/necklace and rings. I don't particuarly like anything that is too bling bling or with too much gemstones or diamond; but something simple, tailored for classy adults, unique/original and stylish for men. I thought i ask perb members as i am sure a lot of the ladies on this board shop for accessories, and might have come across things they thought might look good on men. I am particularly interested in leather bracelet, silver/gold pendants and rings, but feel free to add fashion into the mix.

Wow, is there no guys on this board into fashion or dressing well??? All this time, i am reading about perb members talking about what cars they drive, about them partying at clubs and traveling around with big expenses, etc... I assumed that it extended to clothing and accessorizing. Maybe i am on the wrong forum when it comes to this question Shocked...

Other than a nice watch my only jewelry is a thick silver bali style chain and a variety of cheap silver pendants that I interchange all purchased on ebay. For rings I like a thick stainless steel spin ring.

I wear a yellow Rolex president, Jubilee edition, a yellow gold cartier woven chain with a crucifx on it that I keep tucked inside my shirt to minimize the bling bling effect and a matching gold bracelet. Not big on rings unless its a wedding band and even then I wore it as little as possible and only when she was around. It spent more time in my car's ashtray than on my finger just like she spent more time in my wallet than on my cock

I still have a big ass silver crucifix that stands about 7 inches tall, and I wore it as a pendant on a leather necklace. But those were in my head banger days in high school when I was a teen and listened to Ozzy and Black Sabbath, God bless their wretched souls. When I got into University, that all changed, but occasionally I still listen to "Sabotage" and "Volume 4". I dug out the crucifix for Ozzfest here at UBC a couple of years ago, but I decided not to wear it cuz I didn't want to look like an idiot. As it turned out, all the bikers at Ozzfest would probably have appreciated it.

That's about it for jewelry for me.

It's more important to match the quality of the jewelry with the quality of the clothing.

A Rolex worn with jeans may be perceived as fake. A Rolex worn with an Italian suit is probably real.

People look at the shoes first to see if they match the clothing, then they look at the watch and other jewelry and again match them to the clothing.

You will know when you have it all balanced. Just walk through a good resturant and have someone watch for the second looks.

Second look and back to what they were doing, you have it right.

Second look - points you out to girlfriend and they both laugh, you shouldn't be wearing those jeans with the plated copper and fake Rolex.

Second look and she comes by and descretely drops her card by your plate - was it really necessary to wear the diamond Rolex and $20,000 suit?

Second look and she asks if her outfit works - leather pants and top with a lavander silk sash tells her that she's not who you are chasing.

Prince Albert was Queen Vicroria's hubby. Supposedly she couldn't stand the smell of his dick - he was uncircumcised and didn't know how to clean it properly. Wearing a Rolex with jeans yells poser to the people looking. That's the reason they have Swatches and the other sports watches to go with jeans.

It's one of those things, like:

I was sitting with a girlfriend at a White Spot when a guy checked her out.
She was annoyed.
I asked why are you annoyed if you are obviously dressed to attract attention.
She said "I only dress to attract attention from the right guys"

Fashion, and women make no sense at all; you just have to know the current rules.

I don't own a Rolex, or any other expensive watch for that matter, but I agree completely. I drive an expensive car because I love it, but I never mention it to anyone unless they ask me what kind of car I drive. It does nothing to my value as a human being.

If it is pathetic to... (i am not saying it is one or the other), then you are describing a lot of people in north america. Cause there are a lot of women out there who spends $2000-$10000 on a louis vuitton bag or Hermes. I know some of them and they sure as don't get it for the quality. I may be wrong but the who idea of owning a rolex, or an expensive car or even paying a little more to get a name brand item is to show off a little or a lot about one's status, wealth and class or even just to fit in.

Personally, i don't like to follow trends. I like to buy whatever looks good on me (whether it cost $50 or $1000), but even i can't resist looking at someone's porsche or aston martin and wish i owned one, cause you do get a lot of attention and sometimes it is nice.

I got a Rolex a long time ago before they had the snob appeal they have today. My parents had a friend who owned a jewellry store and my mom got my dad a gold one for their 25th anniversary. She got it at dealer cost, and later got me the same deal, although mine is stainless.
I got it because I like handmade things, the idea that some guy sits there putting all the pieces together carefully instead of some machine stamping them out.
And it's the only watch I have, I'll wear it whenever I feel like it. I'm less concerned about someone thinking I'm a poser than I have with someone thinking they can tell me what I can and cannot wear. With all the frigging problems in the world how do you find time to worry about something so trivial. IT'S JUST A WATCH.

You get what you pay for, and yes, sometimes that is status. I like to buy things that will last a long time, making what will seem like a high start-up cost a deal in the long run. What I really want though, is a '69 Valiant, or Dart, or Duster, with a slant 6, black, with a white hard-top, kind of low key Amish looking eh?

sorry, just realized cars are not the subject, okay, this is such a subjective question, what do you do for a living? Is it okay in your work environment to sport extraneous accessories? A good watch is cool, if you afford a Rolex fine, wear it with your jeans, in my last career in film lots of producers and actors would wear Tag or Rolex, Tiffanys, Hermes, whatever, and it's because they can. Big deal, yeah, I'd rather they donate the same dough to charities because you could buy a decent Swiss Army watch and not be embarrassed.

A solid gold or silver chain is also acceptable, but only when there is a pendant holding some significance in your life, otherwise "stayin' alive" pops up real quick.
