Ok so I FINALLY ran out of Eternity... so disappointing... it was a decade of great smell, great ladies, and some memorable romps as a result of smelling nice. Man, I was thinking of returning it to Calvin Klein demanding a refill... maybe I could hire Lionel Hutz to be my attorney... "Does this look like a man who got an ETERNITY of cologne?" (in reference to the episode where he says "does this look like a man that had ALL he could eat???")

Been researching the colognes every time I was in the Bay or Sears. I really liked the Armani Acqua Di Gio, but thought it was a bit overpriced at $93. The lady said a gift set would be coming out end of October so I waited. Finally, it came out. As a bonus, you get the aftershave and shampoo/conditioner, which is "supposedly" a $150 value for $93. It also comes in a nice box, so I bought it. I didn't think it would get much better than that.

In order to choose it, a lady friend and I used what we referred to as the "f$ckability factor." Which cologne would make her want to f$ck me the most right on the spot, right in the store, at any given time. It came down to 2 colognes, but Di Gio won out. We even asked the sales lady "does this cologne make you wanna do him?" She blushed and said "no comment." So, like Lionel Hutz says "CASE CLOSED."

After our purchase, they gave us a sample of almost every cologne in the store. So far, none of them strike my fancy or hers except POLO Black. She said the f$ckability factor of that one is quite high as well.

In my cologne buying binge of the 90's, I still have Drakhar Noir which I like to use once in a while, Escape (I liked it at first, but now I dislike it), Red (not even sold any more... came with a nice gift set with Red socks, but the actual cologne kinda stinks), and Preferred Stock (the cheapest piece of sh$t cologne good for when u want to smell like a pimp and drive all the ladies AWAY from you :D ). Which ones should I keep?

Are you sure that wasn't the 80's?? ;)

I find that most ladies prefer a guy to be clean and without cologne....some even have reactions to cologne....otherwise use LESS than you think you need.

And lose all of the 80's ( I mean "90's") stuff.........
I use what I call a "come hither" technique in applying it (how else do u think my Eternity lasted over a decade and I still have 90% full bottles of the other stuff? ). In other words, the lady cannot smell it unless she is within kissing range. This forces them to want to be closer to you in order to smell the nice smell. The moment she goes "mmmm" makes for the perfect time for a LFK which usually leads to a DFK which usually leads to... well ya know... ;)

I don't like to throw things away needlessly... been trying to figure out what to do with the rest of the 80's stuff :). I will keep the Drakhar, but trying to figure out how to best "use" the other stuff. I have recently developed a hobby for candle burning. I call it "candle management." I like to burn the candles and then take a blowtorch to the sides to melt it down nice and even... I found that adding a little preferred stock to the melted wax gave the room a funky smell... and caused some cool blue flames.... hee hee hee got I love playing with fire...

My favorite men's cologne is Obsession, but only in a very understated way. It is easily overpowering. Shouldn't be able to smell it until we are VERY close.

I have Obsession aftershave not the cologne. And I concur that one should only slap on a very small dose. I've since used it sparingly after coming across someone who had a lot on. Definitely do not use the Obsession soap version for it will overpower the olfactry glands of everyone around you.

I like to use Hei by Sung. It's not exactly new, but it is subtle, as long as you use it sparingly.

I do think that a lot of people use way to much cologne. I believe that you shouldn't be able to detect it unless you get quite close to the person. That way it becomes that person's 'siganature', so to speak.

Anyway, just my two cents.

Have a great day everyone.
