Okay the mod is probably right, I have too much time on my hands. This ad intrigued me

So I played my part and we texted back and forth. The person on the other end was quick with the replies and as I suspected things were beginning to look like a scam. Their answers were real short and they said, no cash only Vanilla Mastercard. I was ready to walk when I decided to ask them for a picture of them in their hotel/motel at the moment, citing I’m afraid of scammers. To my disbelief they obliged! I get a pic of the same girl in the pictures doing a selfie in front of a mirror. I had to check it out so we agreed on 11:00am at the Port Augusta. I got there right on time and texted, “I’m here”. I kept my car running and had myself backed into a spot in case I had to pin it. No response from them. I gave it a few minutes and I text “?”. Nothing. They no showed. And I’ve heard nothing since. I think they had a feeling I was onto them but damn, if it was a scam they were pretty on top of it with the pictures and such. Poor naive pooners probably get scammed left and right.

I would also like to add that even the email seems legit.

Thanks! I’ve had no luck with that! I hold down the picture to open it in a different tab and then do the same thing on the new one and choose search with Google lens. I figure I must be doing something wrong because I never get anything. Ive been out of the game for a while and I feel like it was easier with tineye.

I suppose I’m fortunate to have never been scammed, mainly thanks to the information I have gathered on this site, but I’m truly amazed at how polished they are. I see how they can succeed enough that it’s worthwhile. When I pressed to ask them why I can’t pay cash their response was, “Babe, I’ve been robbed before and I just don’t want to take any chances. I know you’re probably not that kind of person but I just want to be safe.” Because I didn’t care to lose them I followed up by saying, “but it’s MY money, I don’t understand.” and they just said, “I don’t take cash.” They’re probably thinking oh thank god I don’t need to have sex with this guy.
