I wrote last year during the 2004 NFL season that Matt Hasselbeck would lead his team to the SuperBowl and that he would be the game's MVP one day, Well I believe the Seattle Seahawks will beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 38 - 13 and Matt Hasselbeck will put on a spectacular performence to claim the game's MVP award, even if the Steelers shut down Alexander, they will NOT be able to stop, Darrell Jackson, Jerramy Stevens, and Joe Jurevicius and so on. Since the Seahawks will beat the Steelers in the air.

The game hasn't even played yet. While I would put my money on the Seahawks, keep in mind the Steelers have become the hottest team in the NFL at the right time. I am hoping for one of the best and exciting Super Bowls ever played with the game coming down to who has the ball last. Given the history of the super Bowl, most games tend to be lopsided so I am asking a lot. ;)

Seahawks 28 Steelers 27

unless something stupid happens this looks to be one of the best Superbowls ever!

as always, a lot depends on which Seahawks team shows up ... but then the same could be said of the Steelers.

Bottom Line: the Steelers by a slight edge ... probably a field goal or less and probably down to the final play of the game.

If both teams really show up it will be a nail-biter to the end!

:) :) :)

Unless Tommy Maddox is starting I wouldn't put a whole lot of money on Seattle. The Seahawks had the softer schedule and haven't really been challenged all year. If something happens to Big Ben then the Seahawks should win by about a million points. Yes Maddox is that bad.

That bitch is married to his brother who is a 3rd stringer somewhere (Washington?). For me the Seahawks are still a bit of an unknown they played in a shit division where they would have won it with 8 wins and their win over Carolina is hard to measure because the Panthers have alternated between great and horrible all year long. No doubts about the Steelers they've faced all the best teams and have dominated. They're a very tough team to run against and in the playoffs their pass defence has been nearly perfect. I'm not sure what Matt will do if Alexander only has 9 yards rushing in the 1st quarter and he finds himself deep in the heart of Blitzburg!

Actually that's his sister in law. She's married to his brother Tim, who is a third string QB for NY Giants. :)

What I don't understand is why everyone keeps mentioning Pittsburgh's sacking ability when Seattle had the most sacks in the NFL. Seattle doesn't get enough credit and I think they're going to surprise a lot of people around the league.

i keep saying it will be close ... they are well-matched and both have strengths but both teams can get shaken and off their strengths.

if they both show up and perform to their abilities it will be an awesome game ... if they both get rattled it will be an interesting game ...

but unless one side really fucks up, there won't be a blow-out.

my money is that it will be decided on the final play of the game.

Mostly because they played a lot of shit teams this year and once you take a big lead against a team they have to pass and you end up with padded sack totals. What good team did the Seahawks play this year? A Colts team that didn't care about the game? They looked pretty ordinary against the Redskins and they should have lost to the Giants.
Although I do agree with LonelyGhost that the Steelers tend to play bad if they get rattled.

Sorry I forgot the Seahawks also played the Jaguars this year but they lost!
