Math scares me...

Grab a calculator. You won't be able to do this one in your head and if you can you scare me...

* Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code)
* Multiply by 80
* Add 1
* Multiply by 250
* Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
* Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
* Subtract 250
* Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer?

That scary math stuff...You be the master.

The boys are actually doing this.

(10,000)*X + Y = your phone number.

Where X is the first three digits of your phone number, and Y is the last four digits of your phone number.

Lot's of red herrings in that fun little exercise. If you multiply any three digit number by 10,000 you get a seven digit number ending in four zeros.

If was fun simplifing the problem. Try it at home and prove it to yourself. Test on Monday.

Thanks, Hard at Work.

Later,
bobsled.

Gonna add here, someone already beat me to the punch.
